One of the places I like to take photos when I'm in Sydney is the walkway around the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park. But the building is currently being renovated, so it's not accessible. I had to resort to the steps by the pool instead. There's more people around (always a worry when you're leaving your camera on a wall), but it does offer a nice backdrop.
