"Believe me, he's very, very, very big, OK? People are saying it, trust me."

From the Web . . . so it's not fake news!

Poly Form was a pure bred, from a wealthy and regal family. Tread, on the other hand, was from a tough, molded breed of factory laborers. He was 37, feeling all of 77. She was only 24, a bit rough around the edges, but still looking fit and able. He started his career in trucking and logged a lot of miles along the highway. Tiring of that haul, eventually he found his way to the ocean. Something in his dreams always seemed to lure him to the ocean. He worked along the docks, helping to ease the big fishing vessels into port where they would unload their catch. That's where he met her. She was brought in by the same commercial fishing corporation he had been working for. His work kept him mostly tied to the dock area. She, on the other hand, would often go out with the vessels for a week or more at a time. On a bright sunny day, a few years back, she came in on one of the big 75 foot vessels. She was on his side of the dock when they came into port and he was taken by her at first sight. She had penetrating blue eyes and was much more shapely than most of her peers (not piers). It was obvious, when you saw them together, that she was a perfect fit for him. His heart was an open book and she fit right into that big vacancy in his chest. They often hung around together, there along the docks. It wasn't uncommon to see them nestled together, out there along the edge of the water. Though he was crusty and tough, she couldn't help but fall in love with him. His life was somewhat threadbare, and she lifted his spirits so. She had a firm grip on life. She knew what she wanted, and pursued her goals with vigor. They were different in so many ways, yet each seemed to offer something to the other that bound the two together. This was them, back in January, out on the docks where they continue to hang out and spend so much time wrapped in their own little world. She no longer goes out with the big boats and that keeps her where she can be close to him. It's so obvious when you see them, how much they love one another. They still laugh and talk about one day perhaps tying the knot and maybe having a baby buoy. That's where I left them, after taking this photograph on a cold day in January.
