From our wonderful coastal hike along the Cornish coast. This was the view from our picnic spot on Pentire point, overlooking Poly Joke Beach. On the opposite side we were lucky enough to see and hear seals!

Aan het eind van de middag toen zomerstorm Poly bijna uit het land verdwenen was toch wat foto's op het strand gemaakt.
De luchten zagen er hier en daar nog indrukwekkend dramatisch uit.
Deze foto heb ik wat lichter, de kleuren wat zachter en minder dramatisch bewerkt, hoewel de donkere versie realistischer op dat moment was.
Deze vind ik prettiger om naar te kijken.

Stac Poly is situated near Ullapool, the mountain has a fantastic structure like a row of broken teeth and on the way up you will be able to see some marvelous views. Some people jump along the stacs but i am to big a coward to try that.
I thought that I had found all the angles and possibilities of shooting this mountain but I was wrong. It pays to keep investigating because there is usually always a different viewpoint.

Drive north from Ullapool and about eight miles up the road and on the left you will see this little lochan. It is so well sheltered you can nearly always find it calm enough for great reflections.
In the morning of Wednesday 5 July 2023 a violent summer storm named Poly caused a lot of damage in the Netherlands. Especially in Haarlem, where a woman died when a tree fell on her car.
This storm was the most powerful summer storm ever recorded in the Netherlands, with wind gusts of 146 km/h.

Have warmed it up to remove the Blue effect from the big stopper.

Argos Panoptes was a giant, with a hundred eyes, some of them were always opened so he was a very good guardian. Hera, wife of Zeus, was his boss. Hermes killed him and Hera preserved the eyes on the tails of peacocks.
In Greek mythology, Argus Panoptes was a giant with a hundred eyes, a faithful servant of Hera. He was therefore a very effective guardian, for only some of his eyes slept at any one time, while others were always awake.
Hermes succeeded in killing him, and to commemorate his faithful guardian, Hera had the hundred eyes of Argus preserved forever in the tails of peacocks.
Icarus, son of Daedalus, who, in order to escape from the labyrinth of Crete, flies with wings of feathers and wax made by his father. Disobedience makes him get too close to the sun, which melts his wings, causing him to fall into the void.

I've always been amazed by the colors and patterns in this mountain up on the top of Poly Chrome.
If you look close you can see an animal trail (probably dall sheep) winding it's way up the side.

I have a background in 3d animation and I was inspired by 3d modelling and computer games. This piece refers to technologies used to survey our environment to better understand and study Nature. I also decided to use this particular palette to echo the climatic change diagrams used to visualise global warming in the environment. I hope it will prove appealing to the general public (all ages) and also attract potential sponsors from the IT and engineering industries.
There is a new art trail in Southampton and Winchester this summer. For ten weeks Hares of Hampshire will bring thirty-two large hares and forty-two leverets to the streets, parks, galleries and shops of the two cities.
All money raised by donations and by the auction of the hares at the end of the summer will go to the Murray Parish Trust.
