Stumbled across this beautiful fungi in the woods the other day and was struck by the rich chestnut color. I Googled fungi in Illinois, and this appears to be a thin maze flat polypore (Daedaleopsis confragosa). Try saying that fast three times.
One of the experimental architectural structures in Poly Canyon, on the campus of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. First constructed in 1963 and later reconstructed in 2003
I thought that I had found all the angles and possibilities of shooting this mountain but I was wrong. It pays to keep investigating because there is usually always a different viewpoint.
In the morning of Wednesday 5 July 2023 a violent summer storm named Poly caused a lot of damage in the Netherlands. Especially in Haarlem, where a woman died when a tree fell on her car.
This storm was the most powerful summer storm ever recorded in the Netherlands, with wind gusts of 146 km/h.

I've always been amazed by the colors and patterns in this mountain up on the top of Poly Chrome.
If you look close you can see an animal trail (probably dall sheep) winding it's way up the side.

I have a background in 3d animation and I was inspired by 3d modelling and computer games. This piece refers to technologies used to survey our environment to better understand and study Nature. I also decided to use this particular palette to echo the climatic change diagrams used to visualise global warming in the environment. I hope it will prove appealing to the general public (all ages) and also attract potential sponsors from the IT and engineering industries.
There is a new art trail in Southampton and Winchester this summer. For ten weeks Hares of Hampshire will bring thirty-two large hares and forty-two leverets to the streets, parks, galleries and shops of the two cities.
All money raised by donations and by the auction of the hares at the end of the summer will go to the Murray Parish Trust.
