The youngest Wild Thing, (aka grandchild), found this
Roly Poly, (aka Pill Bug, Sow Bug, Wood Lice), on the cement near the park and worried that he'd get stepped on. So she patted him a little and then found a nice shady area on the slope for him to call home. Hope he learned his lesson.
(Did you know Roly Polys are not bugs or lice but crustaceans? Related to crabs and lobsters?)
She is tireless about this. She was washing Beck at least three minutes before I made the video. She still continued about three minutes afterward. Either Poly is very fastidious or Beck is very dirty.
She's feeling better after the ordeal with spaying and kitty shots. She stays as close to me as possible. Here, she's near me as I clean up the kitchen.

This was taken in Denali National Park in an area called Poly Chrome. I'm sitting on marmot rock enjoying the view. But, I have to admit, my knees were a little shaky as I climbed up there. I set up the camera, and my friend took the picture.
I will be heading up there again this summer :)

Still, better late than never.
