Here, the seasoned cobs have been cut to length and bored, ready to receive a hardwood plug, hammered in by hand, one by one.
Took these out of my Mazda Progtege today -- these were the original plugs with 21k miles on them.
They were supposed to be copper NGK or ND plugs, but instead were these "long life" ND Iridium plugs.
Strangely, the gap was only 0.32" instead of the 0.44" called for for my engine. Looking up the part number of these, SKJ16CR-A8, it seems they are the spec plugs for a 1999 BMW 750IL's with V12 engine. Not a Mazda FS-D engine in a Protege.
I still put in some new plugs since I had just paid $8 for them .. but I held on to these and will probably put them back in the car (re-gapped to 0.44") in 20k miles or so.

In general, all of the plugs looked decent. The car wasn't misfiring, none of them were seriously fouled or cracked. But I did replace them with new platinum plugs.
