Started off by going out with Nick and Weedall to shoot for Above The Underground, After getting about an hour long trail, went to the pub to meet Andrew, Phil, Carl and James.

I then took everyone to a location i've not taken anyone before, this house has been abandoned for the past 20 years and you could still live in it, the reason it's still in such good condition is because no one know about it.

It had overgrown A LOT since I was last there so we had a mission to get in, but once inside it was worth it, then got this exterior trail on one of the garages.

When I came out of the house everyone was trailing this from the other side, They never knew this angle existed, So I walked through some ferns for about 15ft untill I research the field to get this awesome angle, then Phil joined me, and then slowly everyone else came through and we had all brought chairs and I brought a blanket, so we all had a sit and a chat.

We've recently started using waxed food wraps to try and cut down our single use plastic! I love the texture of these waxed and pinked squares of fabric..

Macro Mondays Jagged HMM

I am jumping into the world of blur and imperfection. I shot this with a macro filter attached to the Composer Pro II Sweet 35 Lensbaby lens. It is all manual so this is going to be a learning curve. I am challenging myself to use the Lensbaby lenses for the rest of the month to see if I can learn how to use them effectively. The lens is a tilt-shift lens I missed the focus here a bit but loved the effect of the backlight that didn't show up in any other images. This little minion has been used in many photos, the album link is flic.kr/s/aHBqjzvLzw if you are interested. I feel like I really used to spend a lot of time being more creative to set up shots.

Seen in an Art Gallery. The sun came through the window and made this wonderful play of light at the wall.

Clothes dryer + flashlight = FUN

Playing with some spices and tabletop photography this morning. I love this Penzeys seasoned salt, it's a perfect addition when you just need a little extra flavor.

The 8/27 theme for Macro Mondays is Defining Beauty, and the image has to be accompanied by a quote that included "beauty" or "beautiful." I was having a lot of trouble with this theme and almost took a pass on it until I came across "imperfection is beautiful," and suddenly I found myself surrounded with endless subjects, among which was this bent nail, a perfect example of imperfect beauty.

Everything is possible with light

Up in the tower, with narrow windows and no electricity on, there were corners and nooks and crannies that were very dark... I had fun....

Man last night was fun!!!!!!!! We met up with Pixelated~Light and Lomo-Cam a little after Midnight at Moore's Crossing Bridge for some Light Painting. It was one humid night but the Moon was at her best and we got some pretty damn nice shots. One of the best things about meeting up with the ATX Light Junkies is we always learn a lot and its always a great adventure, Even Team Jacob showed up for a bit lmao :)

The kids had great fun !

and Yessss , me too .....

PLEASE , do not comment with GROUP INVITATIONS or GLITTER IMAGES !

After dinner, music, not a lot of light, a couple of red wines and the hand drifts to a camera ... uncropped, darks lifted a tad tasol.

The street light outside my house.

I actually went out to take a photo of the moon but I needed a longer lens and/or a tripod. This was much more fun!

Another cliche . . .

"Sempre, dalla prima volta che è andato a vedere Eros e le luci delle insegne, quella rotonda è stata un vero e proprio magnete per lui: quella rotonda rappresentava la vita, il principio e la fine del mondo"

(Samuel Selvon, The Lonely Londoners)

So, I pretty much just waved a candle around to get this photo. I was sitting in my living room, thinking about how I could just sit and watch fire flicker, how the light twitches with eagerness to find more oxygen to consume and I started thinking about what it would look like if I tried to mimic the random movement. I think we're a lot like fire, random and unpredictable. I wish this photo was a little more in focus, but I really liked my face in it. P.S I don't actually recommend waving a lit candle around, because it'll probably spill on you and burn you, and get in your carpet (true story) Gahhhh!!!
