don't seem to have much time these days and been up against the creative brick wall for a while now, managed to catch a rare hour yesterday and grab a few spins
This art piece features the photographer as both the subject and creator, exploring the duality of light in photography. A man, who is the photographer, sits on a bench holding an umbrella, shielding himself from a strong light source. The umbrella creates a striking silhouette against the textured brick wall, emphasizing the contrast between light and darkness.
A triptych of three refractograms using light from an LED torch refracted/reflected at right angles by the base of a faceted whisky tumbler onto a Sony A7Rii sensor (no lens fitted).

Sorry for my flickr absence everyone - I"m currently staying busy with side projects and working on an upcoming HDR series and web blog. But I do hope to be back to my regular flickr appearances very soon.
As for the shot above it was done at an abandoned retirement home. It was a collaborative effort w/ Jeremy aka tackyshack who is a light painting genius.

I was experimenting with different lighting angles, ISO settings and White Balance when I took this one. I love the way the tulip seems to glow from within. I'm going to use a polarising filter next time, to try to sort out the double reflection, but this was a first attempt and it was fun :-)
cause there are things that I've seen that I don't believe. So cling to what you know & never let go. you should know that things aren't always what they seem.

La qualità e la composizione della foto non è delle migliori (ho dovuto eliminare la sfocatura) però, l'effetto creato dalla luce del sole, che scende dall'alto mi ha colpito tantissimo.
Mi sa che mi dovrò dotare di cavalletto: consigli? Qualcosa di leggero ma solido, robusto per affrontare gli "sballottamenti" da viaggio.

For this assignment, I brought out the light wands and did some light painting reflected in the bathroom mirror to create this abstract. I love light painting ! !
I designed my costumes on the fly this morning when trying to come up with a photo idea. We had record low temperatures yesterday and today doesn't feel any warmer. The sun popped out for just a few minutes while the snow barely started to fall. I hope you are staying warm wherever you are.

Monday was a very busy day with very little time for much other than what needed doing; spent the evening out with my Mom getting some last minute shopping done and realized as we were about to leave that I hadn't turned the camera on all day.
Tried a few things, but the mall was limited in options so I ended up shooting the lights hanging by the elevator, bokeh style.
Simple, but effective!

Most people familiar with my stream will be aware of my fascination with people. But my recent retreat to some gloriously deserted coastline made for an equally glorious peopleless distraction.
So… here’s a short series playing with the light in The Gower [South Wales].
