Sorry for my flickr absence everyone - I"m currently staying busy with side projects and working on an upcoming HDR series and web blog. But I do hope to be back to my regular flickr appearances very soon.
As for the shot above it was done at an abandoned retirement home. It was a collaborative effort w/ Jeremy aka tackyshack who is a light painting genius.

Nothing is pure
Anymore
But solitude
It's hard to make sense
Feels as if I'm sensing you through a lens
If someone else comes
I'll just sit here listening to the drums
getting friendly with my new lens,
good to see some of the NELP heads today as well as meeting mccullin4 for the first time, twas good to hook up!
no real idea for tonight and i didn't want to spend too long, so i was just playing around with flashes.

Playing with flashes at sunset, was setting up the shot, getting a couple of test images, and this one I liked, because of the flare from the flash.. (I know simple things)
Met misschien nog wel mooier licht? Ambachten fotograferen in opdracht. Het kan niet leuker en mooier.
Does exactly what it says on the tin.. "Llandudno Welcomes you!" Well, what are you waiting for, go there!
hush hush, don't say a word
don't say a word
Each day passes by in a blurry haze,
like a tape that's being played at the wrong speed,
can't breathe, gotta run, gotta hide
from what we need.
like a fire that burns in my heart,
like a siren screaming in the dark,
like the blood that's pounding inside of me,
can't let them see,
Bridge
all the stars, bow their heads in shame.
coz they know, you cannot speak my name, you cannot speak my name
hush hush, dont say a word,
sound carries in the night, carries in the night
hush hush, dont say a word
sound carries in the night, carries in the night
wrong place, wrong times, still we cannot erase
all the pain that we have to face,
each and every time you know we can't stop,
gotta walk (across that line),
relive this life thats such a waste,
living in denial, it's too fast, too slow
you finally know, right place, right time,
we have to hide
you refuse,
to hide my head in shame,
coz for now, you cannot speak my name,
you cannot speak my name,
hush hush, dont say a word
sound carries in the night, carries in the night
hush hush, dont say a word,
sound carries in the night, carries in the night
dont say a word, dont say a word, dont say a word
no no no
hush hush dont say a word,
dont say a word
This is a picture of a red glowing light from a cranium game timer. The camera was spun and tossed in the air so it was moving. Art from the camera toss group has been seen in galleries and even has been purchased by adobe to be used on the cover of some of their latest software. Photogamer challenge is red moving glowing artsy and empty.
I think this photo meets 4 of those challenges.
I took this photo tonight although the exif data might not match cause the camera has had a few bad falls being tossed and the date and time constantly are being reset.
To see some of my other camera tosses check out these sets:
Camera Toss and the Crainium Timer Toss Set
Finally got my first prime lens and decided to give a spin on some night street photography. Found a perfect spot on the Fountainbridge Canal in Edinburgh. I waited for someone to walk across on the other side of the canal so i could catch their outline in front of the lights from the building.
