Enroute to the bluebell wood (where it was a pleasure to meet Steve Pellatt) I couldn't not stop at Knowlton Church to capture this.
(I still haven't mentally recovered for failing to capture the Northern Lights here last weekend).
The bluebell wood was beautiful but the mist didn't follow me in there sadly and I don't think I did it justice. Bluebell photography is really not easy!!

Auto turrets aren't just for the defending the battlefield, Sometimes you need a high caliber computer watching your back while you fix your ship that broke down in an unknown sector of space.
This ship has been nearly complete for several years but wasn't something I was overly excited about photographing. I didn't want the ship to just be flying in space, I wanted a more tangible setting. So I had fun making some aliens and reusing a big rock piece from another project.
I've also been diving into the realm of shooting RAW with my camera and this was also an opportunity to play with the features of Lightroom.
This is nearly the exact image that came out of the camera. I adjusted some saturation and adding some glow to the gun and light as well as some motion blur to the aliens and the muzzle flash. Other than that, there is no major post editing in this image.

Low on fuel, I headed into a truckstop for a fillup. It was the last one before a big jump into nothingness, and it was a pain in the butt to navigate into, since it was surrounded by asteroids. The asteroids gave the outpost some protection from raids, but I swore as one slammed into my right rear tailfin and broke off a sensor. This pitstop was going to take longer than I thought.
