Another calm morning after midnight rain. The roses outside start to bloom. I wish there's a way to share the fragrance of the roses along with the image.

This afternoon, between rainstorms, Pookie and I had a little front-yard photo challenge. I took the 40mm pancake lens and was a bit underwhelmed with my final results.

This is the "calm before the storm"...literally! We get very little rain in San Diego, but we are due to have a week of storms, and I'm actually excited. We really need the rain.

I don't like the looks of the chain link fence around my entire back yard, but I like the security. Try to cover it up with plants (finally killed off all the honeysuckle vine, though), but lots of gaps.
I love the quartered petal arrangement of these type flowers.

There is storms tonight so I took pics today of my Pink Peony, dont know what the storm will do to them. I hate to take pics with this little Camera, but I may miss out on some of my Flowers if I dont. My Favorite Rose is starting to bloom, I hope to get the Canon back before its gone. And I hear Cedar Waxwings in the trees...............:(
