Many wonderful trees and flowers were in bloom in the Los Angeles area, and most were different from those in bloom on the East Coast. I saw roses the size of grapefruits, lemon and orange trees, some with fruit and some in bloom, and all kinds of brightly colored blooms on trees. I have no idea what kind of tree or large shrub this was, does anyone?

This is one of the first flowers I photographed yesterday at the Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park. Many of the flowers, such as this one, were covered with moisture. It was foggy and I could feel the moisture in the air.
