El nombre Gerbera es en honor del naturalista alemán Traugott Gerber (aprendido mientras averiguaba el nombre de esta flor : )
The genus name Gerbera is in honour of the German naturalist Traugott Gerber (just learned while I was finding out the name of this flower : )
Pink Fig Lily size 6-7 in quilting cotton by Michael Miller (cupcakes) and Joann's (pink). The only way I'll ever be able to stop making this pattern is if I loose it :) My cousin's oldest daughter has 8 of them (but is outgrowing the smallest 4) - whenever she asks for another dress, she asks for this one...
Este esmalte estava esperando a um bom tempo na fila (que não é bem uma fila), desde que a coleção Penélope Charmosa foi lançada (pela primeira vez). Acontece que com a qualidade dos demais esmaltes que utilizei desta coleção, acabei deixando ele de lado. Aliás, qualidade de todos Risqué. Já faz algum tempo que deixei de usá-los com tanta frequência e cada vez que utilizo é uma nova decepção. Infelizmente a qualidade dos esmaltes desta marca está cada vez pior. As marcas estão investindo muito na qualidade mas parece que a Risqué está fazendo o contrário... pelamor!!! Não foi diferente com este. Ainda bem que me preparei psicologicamente pra passar pq tudo que podia acontecer de ruim aconteceu. Primeiro que precisei de 3 camadas pra coisa ficar mais ou menos e ainda assim dá pra ver o branco da unha... ele tem uma textura de chiclete que foi punk de esmaltar e limpar os cantinhos, ficou um pouco grosso oq dificultou a secagem e deu milhares de bolinhas. Se não fosse o top coat não sei o que seria da minha vida (hahahahah).
Maaaassss (sempre tem um porém), salvo as milhares de coisas ruins, esta cor é linda. Sabe aqueles dias que tu fica com uma cor na cabeça e não sossega enquanto não passar AQUELA cor? Pois é, eu adoro esses tons de rosa pink, acho lindíssimo e esse foi um dos dias que tava com desejo dessa cor lindona e "chegay". Fiquei bastante satisfeita com o resultado e com minhas unhas de penélope charmosa :) Agora vamos esperar pra ver a duração, né dona Risqué???

Interestingly, these berries were amongst the first edible foods to be noted by Cook when he coasted the eastern shore of Australia in 1770. They were widely used as a base for jams and fruit drinks by the early colonists.

Para fazer essa unha usei 1x a base da cliché, 2x o Pink radiance da Avon, para o carimbo usei esmalte especial para carimbar preto e a placa XL-D e para finalizar o seche vite.

Pink bottlebrush. Taken on the same day we had our first frost of the season. Focus stacked using zerene.
Here you can see the reverse side of the skirt and the how the separate pink bodice fits over the blue one. The first release had a darker pink bodice. I would like to get my hands on one of those because it's more film accurate, the blue doesn't show through as much, and it's the version I had as a kid. I'm happy with this one though. It was in a beat up package, never removed, so new to me! The dent had given her regular bangs a cowlick like in the movie, and it was being sold from a charity organization so I got it for pretty cheap.
