Over the top artsy fartsy! Sorry...not much sleep lately - neighbors 6 dogs waking us up at 4:30 now - used to be 6:30 am. In a few weeks I'll get out and take some real photos...until then well I'm just praying for some zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's.

Revisiting my pink peony photos for PhotoFriday Pink Challenge, these are larger photos than I usually load on Flickr. They all make me giggle and I can not pick a favorite! View it large, it will make YOU giggle.
The wind was blowing steadily when I took this shot, and it didn't turn out crisp. But still I love the colors!!

This image was captered with my nikon D80 and 50mm lens with an old sears x4 magnification filter attached. Light provided by my SB800 flash in TTL mode, on camera and position up and slightly back (to compensate for downward angle of the shot) to bounce directly of ceiling.

I made this cake for my Mum's friend's daughter. She told me she wanted a cake with pink cherry blossoms, and when they came over to talk about it, she brought a paper crane with her and said she'd like to incorporate that somehow, as she has paper cranes all over her bedroom. So she made the crane topper, and I used Makiko Searle's falling blossom cake as my inspiration for the cherry blossoms.
Pink Azaleas are blooming all around town at the moment. I took a few shots ... well, lots actually ... near the Bowling Club when I picked up my husband. He had enough time for a power nap!
I think this variety is called Alphonse Anderson. It is a hardy variety which explains why there are so many in flower in town at the moment.
It was a busy day. I hadn't planned my "creative thing" for the day and was looking for something. I came across this origami pattern in one of my books and found a pink sheet of paper and out came a wrinkled pink elephant! I am reminded of the stuffed pink elephant toy I had as a child. And maybe I should drink more??
Day 2 of arts and crafts.
Last minute order. Mum asked for pink and purple themed cupcakes for little Victoria turning 4 today. This is what I came up with. Mum absolutely loved them when she saw them.
A batch of 20 Pink satin cupcakes : White chocolate and raspberries, iced with Strawberry Swiss buttercream and decorated with sugar paste toppers : Crown, ballet shoes, blossoms, butterflies and the number 4.
