We each have a vision, our own way of growing into roots, and bark, and stems, and leaves or needles of our own becoming. Photography is one way of bringing that spark to light and life.

From this vista on Tioaga road you can see half dome in the distance.

The sunrise didn't quite show its usual colors, but that didn't stop the photographers from their morning photo hunt.

Part of a bald eagle extended family I see once a year in western Montana. LOVE watching them.

asked the kids to step out of the water for a moment to get 5 clean shots. Seems like a nice spillway to play in on a hot day

This was going to be the first decent sunrise we experienced while in Grand Teton National Park. We had decided the night before that we would shoot sunrise at Jenny Lake. As we were driving to Jenny Lake we drove past this spot that had a HUGE BULL ELK in the field but it was to dark to take his photo. So a few minutes later we arrived at our location to find it was covered in fog. So quickly made it back to our SUV and made a dash back to this location with 30 minutes to go before sunrise. As it turned out sunrise was a bust, but I really loved the blue hour show and the bull elk bugling about 200 feet away. What a awesome morning it was. This is a two shot shot landscape panorama. I really wanted to show the fog layers and i think this image as a two shot panorama is just wide enough to show what i wanted.

About 30 minutes after sunrise, we headed south to go fossil hunting in Kemmerer Wyoming. If you have never dug for fossils..... you really should. We found some really amazing fossils. Kemmerer Wyoming is a short 2 1/2 hour drive from Salt Lake City UT. We used Fossil Safari, the Manager George was a great help and a awesome guy to deal with. The other diggers there were also very nice.

After a while not shooting much, I went for a walk to my favorit tree in Nationalpark Thy today🌲 Some go to church on the 24th of december, I went for a walk :) I never seen this tree surrounded this much with water, but the rain has just kept coming these last few months and there is water everywhere - It creates some quite unique and beautiful scenarie out there at the moment👌

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun, shine on you....

(Today, I have so many things to worry about, so I am speechless, only lyrics of a nice song. :(

I have so many pine trees sprouting all through my forest. They're like cute kittens: you want them all, you know you can't keep them all, but you can't decide which to keep and which to re-plant somewhere else.
