My FFA pin from the early 60s. Somewhere I still have my FFA jacket but I doubt it fits like it did in high school. This pin is about 1/2" wide x 5/8" tall.
Had to search far and wide to find a pin badge - this is from my son's school and measures about 1.5 cm high.
The Bluebird is the mascot of the Ipswich River MA Audubon wildlife sanctuary. There is a large open field near the entrance that is filled with Bluebird houses and by this time every year, ever on of them is occupied! I love this Bluebird pin that is available in the gift shop there.
Staff pin, One Fifth Avenue Bar and Restaurant, NYC.
Image made for the Macro Mondays group's June 9 theme, "Pin." Pin measures 7/8" across.
This badge is respectfully carried on my person every year, remembering those caught up in the chaos of the London Bombings 11 years ago. ❤️ Our uniform has changed since then, but our message to be One London is still the same.
I honestly hope that a day like this never happens again.
For this week's Macro Monday theme: 'Superstition'
The superstition: Whenever my Dad or I go to see Sheffield United play they usually don't win.

A very special day today. My beautiful daughter in law has had her final radiation treatment for breast cancer today. She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and has undergone surgery, chemo and radiation. Her treatment is finally done with today and we are celebrating. It's been a scary 2017 for us and we are looking forward to a healthy 2018.
None of us are immune from breast cancer.
1. Know what is normal for you.
2. Know what changes to look for.
3. Look and feel.
4. Tell your GP about changes straight away.
5. Go for regular breast screening.
The pink ribbon is an international symbol of breast cancer awareness.
Sadly cancer has touched the lives of most families.
These badges were awarded by the Allgemeiner Deutscher Tanzlehrerverband (ADTV) — the General German Dance Teachers Association — as a formal recognition of dance proficiency. They represent achievement in four to six Standard and Latin dances, with participants allowed to choose some of the dances performed.
Despite being over 40 years old, the badges remain in remarkably good condition
As for size, a single badge diameter is 16 mm, so roughly 44 mm due to overlap, and approx. 50 to 60 mm in total with for the photo.
Goes with the "A" gliding certificate I was awarded back in 1948 when I was fifteen years old and a member of the Air Training Corps. Happy days! Like me, the badge and certificate have seen better days.
For some years, the Royal British Legion (who organise the annual Poppy Day appeal in the UK) have offered enamel lapel pins as well as the usual paper poppies for people to buy and wear in support of the Armed Forces community and to mark Remembrance Day.
This is my collection of the pins from 2011 to 2024. The visible extent of the image is approximately 2.75".
Only 100 of these were made. It seems likely that most have been lost in the 40 or so years since then. I don't get mine out of the box very often. Perhaps I should start wearing it to confuse acquaintances who will have no idea what it is about.
Taken for Macro Mondays "Pin Badge"
At some point in time (pun unintended) this pin actually might have lit up. MM possibility for pin/badge

Macro Mondays: 9 June 2025.
Theme: Pin Badge
A Macro Mondays submission on the topic "pin badge". This badge was given to all Australian participants in the Second World War. It was given to my father, who served in the Royal Australian Air Force.
I consider Parr as one of the best street photographers of all time. Bought this pin badge at an exhibition in Vienna.

This is a Qantas lapel pin. The shape, which is about 1cm end to end, looks like the Qantas logo used from 1947 to 1968.
It's laid on blue shiny card and lit with 2 LED video-lights. Its taken with my Nikon Z6ii and Nikkor 105mm macro lens with a 1.4x teleconverter.
Just found my old pin badge when I took ski lessons in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria in 1971.
