Taken around 1970
BTH Type 1 - Class 15 - (D)8234 in 'the Yard' at Liverpool Street station, in about 1970.
The loco retained its green livery until it was withdrawn and scrapped, in 1971. One example of the class has survived.
The station was extensively rebuilt in the mid/late 1980s, and today (2022) the middle tracks here have gone, and the platform tracks (9 and 10) are next to each other, and this area is subterranean..
Restored from an under-exposed grainy cyan-colour-shifted original..

Fire Fighters from the Inland Empire and all over SoCal battle a large 8,000 + acre Brush Fire that started in the Bernardino National Forest and made its way into the Summit Valley area of San Bernardino County.
Clint Morris and his hand made WW1 replica Bi-plane.

Last image taken at the CCC meet up at Hartlepool. This literally was the last shot I took and went arse over tit on the slippery rocks, thankfully most the CCC crew were in the pub so I didn't get me spine ripped out !! Had to fiddle a little with this to get an acceptable image out of it .. lol

This pointy (Index, to the left) and not-so-pointy (Pilot to the right) pair of mountain landmarks is visible from several points along the western corridor of US highway 212, AKA, the Beartooth Highway. I always stop at a couple of favorite points to look, and this day, I got great views through the clear, bright air.
Pilot & Index are not too far east from Yellowstone National Park's Northeast Entrance, and are most easily spotted when approaching from the east.
A-wings are maintenance-heavy and prone to breakdowns, as this Rebel pilot has just learned. She has crashed relatively unharmed but finds herself in a desert with just a canteen of water and her sidearm.

The main reason for this picture was the unusual, rather cheap looking phone box, a type I had not noticed before, it seemed to have a normal working pay phone in it.
I could not resist this quick version with the bloke and his daughter scootering along the pavement in Moseley Road.

25182 830203 Man Vic Pilot
Victoria Pilot on the 3rd Feb 1983 was 25182 seen here moving some vans from the back of a train which had just arrived from Red Bank over in to the bay on the North side of the station.
The pilot was very busy in the early evening performing such duties so much so that if a freight required banking the at train would have to wait until a lull in shunting activities.
