This necklace slips over the head and is quite long. I have it wrapped around the top of the stand to show off the bottom of the necklace.

2/8/2013: We had some nice weather with some wonderful clouds today. The morning started off really cold and then it warmed up nicely. As the evening turned, it started to cool down quickly. "Winter" in California is that way. It's nice. I hope all y'all in the Northeast get some sunny days soon!

It's been a really busy day at work (mostly because I'm covering for 2 people) so Pony and Friends thought it be good for me to have a little bit of chocolate. This is one of my favorites to have from Trader Joe's. Yummy!

I was all excited to see how low the moon was on my commute home, peeking out from behind the hills. But only having my Galaxy Note available for a camera, it wasn't possible to get a good, zoomed in framing. I did the best with the photos I hastily took.
Assuming I could get a good framing with Google's Project Glass, that would've been the ideal way to snap a photo during the commute, as hands-free as possible.
So looking forward to using something like the Galaxy Camera with a proper optical zoom.
8.3.2014: After re-organizing one of my project areas and re-finding this crochet project, I've decided that I want to finish this lap blanket. I've only been working on it for 5 years (not kidding). I kind of forgot about it over time. But I feel if I do a row a day, I can finish it up by the end of the year. ^_^;

1/3/2014: I have quite an extensive library (7 bookshelves full) so I decided to take one off the shelf to read instead of reading an ebook. I'm still not feeling 100% but I feel much better now that I've had a lot to sleep. We enjoyed the afternoon sun while resting & reading.

10/3/2014: Since I'm off work to recover, I decided to pay attention to my Etsy shop and list more things on it. I've been wanting to list some bead patterns and so I started by listing one today. I'm going to try and keep it up and fill my shop up with new products. Piggie is encouraging and keeping me company.

01.07.2015: Ah, Wednesday. The week is now halfway done and I felt like making another necklace. I bought these monocle charms and wanted to incorporate them into a necklace. And it called for a steampunk design.
This necklace is adjustable with the large lobster claw clasp. But it can also slip over the head. The monocle is connected to the gear pendant with an S-hook so it can be dangled to the side. A small key decorates the gear.
Necklace is 32-inches long, hangs down at 16-inches. Made 1/7/2015. Listed on my Etsy shop.

The "kind of" part: me taking pictures and surfing the internets during the commercials. We're watching Sleepy Hollow. So far, it's been an interesting watch but I think I'll catch it on OnDemand instead of watching it on Monday nights. Because (1) I tend to forget about TV and (2) I'm more likely to remember about it that way and I can catch up on episodes if I miss them (which is likely).

6/20.2013: I got my package from Japan today. I ordered some kitty phone charms for my Galaxy. I like collecting stamps from other countries and this postage meter stamp is very decorative and detailed. So pretty!

I've been reading a reading mode and read 7 books in 10 days (all of the Elantra series by Michelle Sagara. Her new book is coming out in August). So Pony and Panda wanted to read something as well. Piggie and Cow are listening to them read. I'm sure you can guess what they are reading... ^^

10/29/2014: Yup, reading the old school way. I just have to make sure that I have enough light when I read acual books. I usually don't do this to my books. Generally, I make note of what page on I'm on and place the book down or I use a bookmark.
I'm revisiting Kay Hooper's Bishop/Special Crimes Unit books. I recently picked up one of her latest on Nook (Haven, #13) and it re-sparked my interest in the series. The rest of books that I have of this series are physical books. It's a great paranormal crimes series and I highly recommend them.

5/13/2013: I got a new bracelet from Jewelmint & everything that I bought from this site has been of a really good quality. This bracelet - not so much - it broke when I was trying it on. The rhinestone part was one whole piece with no flexibility so when I tried to flex my wrist it cracked. Good thing I'm a crafty kind of person. I super glued a piece of felt to the back to reconnect the pieces and then added the gear to hide the crack. Since the bracelet was on sale and I knew I could fix it, I wasn't super upset. Although, I will email them and tell them of the problem with the bracelet.

I finished this necklace tonight. It's going to be a Birthday gift for my friend's daughter. The flower pattern, French Florette, is from Nicky Epstein's Crocheted Flowers (ISBN 10: 1-933027-26-6) and the leaf pattern (slightly altered) is from LACEWORK four seasons (ISBN: 978-4-02-190414-1). She can use it as a necklace, a belt or headband.

Pony exploring the trials of having a full West facing room in an older house on the second floor. Our house is 34 years old and is due for some upgrading - most needed is an upgrade to the windows. It gets very hot in my room. Today was 88º so my room was probably about 90+ degrees. (Can you say *ick*?) We came up with this idea of putting a screen in from of my door so I could keep my door open and at the same time keep the kittens out. My room isn't exactly kitten ready - I have a lot of beading, sewing and craft things out. Pony is sitting on top of the screen in front of my door.
