This image was only modified slightly from the original picture of a staircase. I cropped the photo slightly until I felt the leading lines were balanced. I used PicsPlay Pro to slightly boost the saturation and brightness.
As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used the app PicsPlay Pro to edit the image. This was done by applying the HDR Sky 1 filter to the picture, followed by applying the Flaming filter to help give a Sunset look to the image. Next I used the app Alien Sky to apply a warm filter and a Flare called Sirius to the image. After that I used Mextures to apply some lighting and textures to the picture. The preset that I applied was called After Glow by Evan Lake. Finally I used the app Laminar to apply a Polarizer FX and the Snap Stack frame to the image.
The original photo was taken late this afternoon in Kenilworth. The view is of the lake in Abbey Fields. Looking over towards Kenilworth Castle (hidden behind the trees).

First of all I used the app PicsPlay Pro to edit the image. This was done by straightening the image then applying the HDR Ground 1 filter to the picture to help make the colours a little more vibrant. Next I used Mextures to apply some lighting and texture to the picture. The preset that I applied was called Red + Blue by Jordy Van Solm. After that I used Distressed FX to add an Overlays and Texture to the picture, the Overlay was called Egret and the Texture called Vanilla. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Intense FX to the picture along with a Soft dark Vignette. I also applied the Canvas texture and added the Shadow II frame.
The original photo was taken today at the edge of Kenilworth. It is an image of The Water Tower of Kenilworth. The tower was built during the 1770's and for just over 70 years was used as a Windmill to grind up corn and cereal. The tower was later converted into a water tower to help supply water to the town of Kenilworth. It remained the towns primary water source until 1939 when the water supply was upgraded. The tower still remained as the secondary water source until the early 1960's. After that the tower was sold off and it was converted into a private residence in the early 1970's.

5/14/2014: Today was really hot at 96ยบ and I was really glad for our tree lined street. The shade from the trees made the noon heat bearable. Stepping out from under them, I could really feel how hot the day was going to be.

ZOMG! This is so cute! Howard is small enough to fit on Totoro's tummy. I don't think Yo would be able to fit on him comfortably. Beatrice is now the same size as Howard so she'll be able to do this as well. But I think this is one of Howard's favorite napping spots. =^_^=
