Jonathan and I had a long weekend exploring York. Here he is terrorizing York Minster...

@greygirl25

It shoulda been a rain drop day but by the time the gale force winds slowed down, it was raining so hard that the camera and I never had a chance.

So why not play with fire?

This time I set up both flashes, one on camera right and one on camera left.

The green is purely a request from Karen and a slider in Lightroom.

Picking up Mum from the airport. She is very tired and a little cross because the airline lost her luggage - it has since been found in Sydney.

This is Ania, who's an undergrad working in the Physiology department. We first me at Ada and Marco's engagement party. She's now working with the same Oxford prof who's linked to our VR group, and I was up in her lab being an experimental subject for her rotating-cylinder experiment, which involved sitting in a dark little cubicle wearing these red-green 3D goggles watching dots on the screen and clicking buttons.. it was oddly relaxing, really :-)

12wks and 4 days 'old' and he/she is already camera shy (although you can count fingers and thumb along the side of his/her so it's a little bit cute LOL) Today we had the bestest news we could have expected to have heard. Splodge is healthy, active (had the hiccups) and growing beautifully. We don't have the full NT results but it's the best we can expect from scan results (right down to the button nose) and we're breathing a little easier. :)

I didn't take the original of today's photo - it's technically a photo of a print out, but it's an image I didn't think I'd ever ever see... and it's beautiful and it's very precious to us... I don't think any other image I could have taken today would be any more stunning to us than this :)

Traditional Czech leftovers dish, though I usually buy the ingredients specially ;) Crucial ingredients: green bell pepper, tomato, smoked sausage, and an egg or two stirred in last thing. The bread is rye and caraway sourdough, home-made.

A long first day of 2014 ends with sleepy swaddled babies.

My granny in her front garden in Edinburgh, with the cherry trees in full bloom and the tulips out :-)

Day 360 - Not a bad way to spend xmas day eh?

Made the switch today. After years of being a Nikon/Fuji man I'm now going to give Canon a try.

Archie being my cuddly little couch companion.
