I did an art thing! I was really sad because it had been my last day working with Andrew Zisserman, but the Quiltbag Cabaret and the lovely people there cheered me up a lot, plus it's been at least a couple of decades since I'd just played with paint :-)
January Photo a Day Challenge: Guilty Pleasure. What could be better than a latte, blueberry muffin and reading an article about George Clooney & the Oscars in my favorite mag Entertainment Weekly? Not much. :)
Day 6 - Renaissance Faire - A performance by local dancers, doing belly dancing, and what they called period tribal dancing. This young woman was lovely and had a beautiful teal skirt. She really fit the part.
Go out for coffee / breakfast to say goodbye to Rob's sister. She begins the move to Australia today - with stops in Rotorua and Auckland on the way. Bye Jiggy - we will miss you!

A bunch of us from ousfg went to a ceilidh in aid of SCI, which is a fantastically cost-effective charity that I've been supporting for a few years because of Giving What We Can (www3.imperial.ac.uk/schisto, www.givingwhatwecan.org/).
Dommy has been restricted due to the casts he has for his foot issues, but we've countered the issues of getting dirt etc down the casts by getting some older boy socks and covering them all up - Today was his first real "roam" outside since the casts went on last Thursday... He had a ball - and even tried to escape up those steps in the left hand side of the pic!!!
