Nothing like waking up to a dead refrigerator. It totally through the day off. We headed off to one of our favorite hikes, but got there almost to late to save the photo.
The tales of challenge today don't end, but I got my photo taken. Phew.
Yesterday I hung the "Do Not Disturb" tags on both my e-mail and voice mail and exited stage left for a much needed 11 days off.
Last night for the first time in weeks, I didn't dream about work, but rather which lens I should use at the Northwest Air and Art Festival.
Dutifully, I mounted my 16-35mm lens on my camera before we left the house this morning, not really sure how well I would like using a wide angle lens.
I loved it. I pushed right in and got up close and personal as the pilots got their balloons ready for launch.

Nothing was going to look impressive in my photo-a-day project next to John Green, but here are some home-made paprika oven chips I made for me and Pippin as part of our Sunday brunch. We cleaned out the spice rack recently and discovered we own more than three jars'-worth of paprika, so I need to start finding things to cook with it!
