The camera on our front porch doesn't work. I'll have to look into it sometime.

At around 150 megapixels, this is my biggest stitch so far. I really want to create a gigapixel image.

it was our last morning in Athens, leaving us little time to do much of anything. we all packed our things up, ate breakfast and then did some very quick last minute shopping on our street. after realizing that the food on the ferry is overpriced, we planned on bringing our own snacks along. i bought some cheetos to indulge on since you can only find potato chips in Italy as well as a candy bar. Brit and i decided to get our last gyro of the trip to bring along for lunch. after yet another bus ride along the windy coastal road, we arrived at the port of Patras to board our ferry back to Italy.
Cumin was looking a bit chilly, and was uncharacteristically handleable. I put him in a snuggly sock in a warm place, but sadly lost him the next day :-(
My son grew up in a karate dojo. His mom took cardio kickboxing classes there while she was pregnant with him! Since he was able to stand up, his favorite toy was not a car or legos. It was a foam sword. After watching Star Wars 3, he’s been hooked on lightsabers. He got a kick out of this effect. Slow shutter speed causes light trails.
Thanks to “Armando AKA Junior” for the comment and request!
today we slept in some and then ventured into Corfu town to explore. we found a place for lunch where we ate the best gyros ever, with extra sauce of course. then we entered the ancient fortress for a look around and for photos. we returned in the evening for postcard time, dinner and then packed up our things to get on our uncomfortable overnight bus headed to Athens. in addition, this evening my memory card decided to all of a sudden become defective, causing me serious mental discomfort and anxiety for the possibility that i cannot recover my photos. this is something i will figure out when i return to Florence.
note: i borrowed photos from my friend Brit to use for the missing days.
Propeller planes are LOUD. And, they make me just a little bit queasy on landings through storm clouds.
ARCTIC MONKEYS - "My Propeller"
If you can summon the strength, tow me
I can't hold down the urgency
You've got to make your decent slowly
And oil up those sticky keys
Coax me out, my love
And have a spin of my propeller
It's a necessary evil
No cause for emergency
Borrow the beak of a bald eagle
Oh, momentary synergy
Coax me out, my love
Sink into tomorrow
Coax me out, my love
And have a spin of my propeller
My propeller won't spin and I can't get it started on my own
When are you arriving?
My propeller won't spin and I can't get it started on my own
When are you arriving?
My propeller won't spin and I can't get it started on my own
When are you arriving?
My propeller
My dad's got a pretty nice woodworking shop he's got going now.

I got a silicone penguin ice-cube mould for xmas, and figured it would make far more than just ice cubes. Some of these guys (the wonkier ones, I think!) were hazelnut-flavoured chocolate (using coffee syrup) and had whole hazelnuts in their bellies...
