This little guy, no longer than and inch and a half, posed for me until I could get just the right photo and then he jumped away.

tiny and sweet in the margin.

This is part of a project that won the biggest prizes in the Engineering department's fourth year project displays. It's all to do with structures that don't have strains in their surfaces...

I want to move.

Don't feel very well so have the day off work. Spend it in bed sleeping, cuddling with the dogs and watching downloaded TV.

My two favorite girls. Becca and I celebrated our 5th anniversary today.

Poppie comes for a visit on Sunday afternoon with Mum. She goes berserk with Archie and Gracie, Rob waterblasts the deck and Mum and I watch 'Project Runway'.

This weekend I:

* Go out of town for dinner with Rob, his Dad and stepmum

* Have a delicious green apple ice cream soda

* Get up early to give Rob his birthday presents

* Eat pretzel rods

* Spend a lot of time downloading music

* Go to the river market with Rob and Mum

* Have brunch in the sun (I get a quesadilla)

* Visit Rob's Dad (and get sunburnt in the garden)

* Enjoy a birthday feast with Rob (involving a LOT of cheese)

* Let Rob watch as much sport as he likes

* Collect the waterblaster from Dad and watch as Rob puts it into action

* Have marshmallow Easter eggs for breakfast...

It's roasting hot so everyone strips out of their funeral clothes and heads back to my Aunty's for a celebration of my Gran's life that goes wellllll into the night! it's a classic evening - only marred by our car getting broken into (although all they stole was my Gran's funeral service sheet, the reading I did and our SodaStream gas cylinder!).

The camera on our front porch doesn't work. I'll have to look into it sometime.

At around 150 megapixels, this is my biggest stitch so far. I really want to create a gigapixel image.

Cumin was looking a bit chilly, and was uncharacteristically handleable. I put him in a snuggly sock in a warm place, but sadly lost him the next day :-(

My son grew up in a karate dojo. His mom took cardio kickboxing classes there while she was pregnant with him! Since he was able to stand up, his favorite toy was not a car or legos. It was a foam sword. After watching Star Wars 3, he’s been hooked on lightsabers. He got a kick out of this effect. Slow shutter speed causes light trails.

Thanks to “Armando AKA Junior” for the comment and request!

That's it then. The baby wall paper has been taken off the wall. No nappies, no cot and now no baby nursery, my boys really are growing up and it makes me alittle sad. Bring on the star wars bedroom for my big boys!

today we slept in some and then ventured into Corfu town to explore. we found a place for lunch where we ate the best gyros ever, with extra sauce of course. then we entered the ancient fortress for a look around and for photos. we returned in the evening for postcard time, dinner and then packed up our things to get on our uncomfortable overnight bus headed to Athens. in addition, this evening my memory card decided to all of a sudden become defective, causing me serious mental discomfort and anxiety for the possibility that i cannot recover my photos. this is something i will figure out when i return to Florence.

note: i borrowed photos from my friend Brit to use for the missing days.

Too wet to take the camera out on the trails, so the first shot was when we got back to the car

Propeller planes are LOUD. And, they make me just a little bit queasy on landings through storm clouds.

ARCTIC MONKEYS - "My Propeller"

If you can summon the strength, tow me

I can't hold down the urgency

You've got to make your decent slowly

And oil up those sticky keys

Coax me out, my love

And have a spin of my propeller

It's a necessary evil

No cause for emergency

Borrow the beak of a bald eagle

Oh, momentary synergy

Coax me out, my love

Sink into tomorrow

Coax me out, my love

And have a spin of my propeller

My propeller won't spin and I can't get it started on my own

When are you arriving?

My propeller won't spin and I can't get it started on my own

When are you arriving?

My propeller won't spin and I can't get it started on my own

When are you arriving?

My propeller

My dad's got a pretty nice woodworking shop he's got going now.
