I was very happy when I discovered these tiny gingerbread decorations in Hobbycraft! Obviously, I then had to make gingerbread for my new year party.
Patrick Stewart was doing a Q&A session at the Oxford Playhouse! Obviously, an ousfg delegation went along to listen, and then waited at the stage door afterwards for autographs :-)
At Warehouse Stationery looking for computer cleaning wipes and admiring pinatas.

@greygirl25
Holy smokes, 365 days. Gone.
I loved this project. I had a few days that made me want to tear my hair out, a few days that disappointed me and many days that totally rocked.
I like stats, so as I look over last year:
* I stayed in my backyard 134 times,
* Relied on the greyhounds 27 times for inspiration.
* 17 raindrops had their moment of fame before drying up.
* I drove all over Salem 55 times, to Portland 12 times and went out of the state once to Las Vegas.
* I woke up 14 times to greet the sunrise and watched the sunset 30 times.
* 44 times I illustrated that I have no fear of the dark
* 35 people smiled for the birdie
* There is a parking garage in Salem that I made my way to the top (permit parking only) 10 times
On the way out of the garage is the great graphic that says "This way out", I've known for months what my final photo would be.
I have gone back and forth at least a million times—should I start a new year of 365 or modify it.
When I turned around, I had to laugh. "Do Not Exit" was staring me back in the face.
And when I looked down, it became painfully aware to me that I don't want to quit the 365 project, I just need to modify it.
I want to thank all of my 365 friends for the support and the comments and congratulate them for hanging in there. It has been an awesome year and I have enjoyed looking into your world. Whether or not we all continue, I hope to see more pictures blogged, Facebooked, Tweeted and Flickr'd, if it isn't every day.
man, do you really need this many apps? seriously? i'm sorry if this is your page...wait, no i'm not.

200/365 - Eggs benedict for breakfast and a walk around Hampstead. Not sure about this one, I liked the yellow doors but forgot that there would be a lot of grey pavement also. Ah well..
Every age of a child is special. But their first year is usually cherished most. As a parent, you learn a new type of love. This love is deeper than anything you’ve imagined. You realize that your child needs you and depends on you for everything. It teaches you to reach a higher level of unselfishness. Your social life may become sporadic and when you go anywhere with the baby, it takes half-an-hour of packing diapers and bottles. But it’s all worth it, just to see your baby laugh, smile, crawl and one day says, “Papa”.
Brilliant Memorial Day weekend. Work was slammed but I had an early day so I got out before we got too insane. Then I had a drive and errands with my sister, a 3-4 hour nap, Star Trek with the fam, and then will probably drink 4Loco and hang out in the garage with my dog for a silly night in. (I'm a weird introvert, not a drunk, don't worry.) I have tomorrow off and will hopefully sleep in / have a good day / play in the sun if it sticks around.
The ousfg Desert Planet Books discussion meeting (what 10 books should we take to a desert planet?). Zhifan did most of the writing on the interactive whiteboard, and Conrad added the low-tech lists at the side in time for the final voting. I also feel compelled to point out that it's 5 votes for HP3, not 35 votes there :-P
Go out for a 'surprise lunch' for my Mum organised by her friends and then vintage shopping. My Mum is looking for belly dancing attire for the belly dancing class she is taking! I get a skirt and a jacket.

today Max took me to Lake Chiemsee to see a castle on one of the islands of the lake. it was a palace built by King Ludwig and remains incomplete. it was supposed to be a replica of Versailles in France. we endured quite a terrible tour of the castle (even Max could have given a more historically intriguing account!). it was freezing cold this day and we enjoyed a couple of hiesse shokolade to warm ourselves up at the Christmas market on the island of Fraueninsel. as cold as i was, i really enjoyed walking through the falling snow and it was very beautiful to see. we called it a day once it got dark and rushed back to the car as quickly as possible to warm up our frozen hands and toes. we met back up with Sabrina and she took me to the Tollwood winter festival where we indulged in glühwein for the rest of the night.
Kari makes like forty posters a day like it ain't no thing. Is it talent? You bet. Is it ALSO magic? She'll never tell. But I will. No, it's all talent.
This is the FMRI scanner at work, where I had my first experience of being scanned as part of a PhD student's experiment.
Hundreds of snowdrops in the woods next to our house.
The lady who lives over the stream from us told me that her Uncle planted these when she was a child. She's ~93 now!
(yep, taken yesterday but I've been so busy today!)
Today was a miserable, humid, yucky old day for being outside. The weather tried to rain on and off but the humidity won out - sticky - ewwww LOL The cats took refuge inside as did the kids LOL Here is Aleks petting Portia to sleep on the back of a chair... Even though it is right at the window the light was really poor!! I just love the expression on Aleks face :) He really loves Portia :)
