Thank you, one and all! What a delight to find my photo had been "Explored"! Your positive comments and "likes" are much appreciated. This brute was quite the find, and we can't wait to see him in the fall. (Taken from my kayak)

This is a dead leaf in my backyard. When I watch sunset through this leaf, I feel something quite different.

As dawn begins, a near crescent moon rises. Single exposure. Olympic National Park on the Pacific Ocean. Taken a couple days ago. Thanks for looking!

A starfish waits for the incoming tide. From Olympic National Park about a week ago at sunset. I didnโ€™t even try to stay dry when trying to shoot this one. For those who I am sure will ask, the starfish was not pasted, altered, cloned, touched, moved or handled. I did turn on my LED headlamp to provide a bit more illumination for him. Thanks for looking.

"Coming Home"

This shot was made a Dream Lake, Rocky Mountain NationalPark, Colorado in July of 2008. The animal on the shore of the lake is a bull elk. I was set up to record the reflections when this guy meandered into the scene, still counting my lucky stars. The shot is a single exposure made with a Nikon D300, 12-24mm, Singh Ray 3 stop ND grad (hard) at ISO 200.

I just got back from a trip to Glacier NP for a week. Had a great time hiking all over and shooting. This is one image I got from one of the best sunrises I have ever seen. I got pink clouds even after direct sunlight was hitting the lower slopes. I'll post a few more from that morning in the next week or so. I hope everyone is doing well. Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 70-200mm f4.0 L, Gitzo tripod, Arca Swiss ballhead.

...chi ti fa sentire sempre a tuo agio

This picture was taken from the car on the drive from North Lake in the Bishop Creek area. The autumn foliage on the hillside was like streaks of oil paint on the canvas. Totally awesome!
