A starfish waits for the incoming tide. From Olympic National Park about a week ago at sunset. I didn’t even try to stay dry when trying to shoot this one. For those who I am sure will ask, the starfish was not pasted, altered, cloned, touched, moved or handled. I did turn on my LED headlamp to provide a bit more illumination for him. Thanks for looking.

This is a dead leaf in my backyard. When I watch sunset through this leaf, I feel something quite different.

"Coming Home"
This shot was made a Dream Lake, Rocky Mountain NationalPark, Colorado in July of 2008. The animal on the shore of the lake is a bull elk. I was set up to record the reflections when this guy meandered into the scene, still counting my lucky stars. The shot is a single exposure made with a Nikon D300, 12-24mm, Singh Ray 3 stop ND grad (hard) at ISO 200.

I just got back from a trip to Glacier NP for a week. Had a great time hiking all over and shooting. This is one image I got from one of the best sunrises I have ever seen. I got pink clouds even after direct sunlight was hitting the lower slopes. I'll post a few more from that morning in the next week or so. I hope everyone is doing well.
