September 2011 - Current
These images started off as drawings but later became my colour palette for this ongoing project.
I dripped water colours to create the messy effect.
Bed Series.
A new personal project I just started. I wanted to show what the female body looks like in a bed, As well of she has just woken, stretching and coming too. This is another inspiration of mine, which I love and adore. Sometimes I just want to show the simple things in life, which we take for granted or don’t notice, when there one of the most beautiful things.
I was exploring ways in which a form could be altered in terms of the feeling it expresses. Using forms inspired by the work of Kurt Schwitters, Merzbau, I created little foam board models in which I would make individual. These ones have been dripped with red wax. The blood red gives these angular spiky models almost a gory feel.
After looking at maps, I researched artists who use maps in their work. Chris Kenney interested me as he creates constructions from maps and text. From looking at his work I made my own sample using a map of Cambridge.
Development of Drawings to do with Flow.
This personal project that is still being undertaken at the moment.
Came about as a continuation of my FMP.
I am a very keen BMX'er and it is crucial things flow in BMX like the ramps and I noticed in my FMP that I was very much attracted to these anthropomorphic forms I was creating and the human element within them.
