Yeah, still not quite dead. Actually, looks like I've mostly caught up on the things that have been mucking with my regular habits.

So what's been the deal for the last three weeks?

1. Big commercial gig. Over the course of about a week I had three big paying shoots, two personal project shoots come together (goldilocks and little red riding hood), and two TFCD modeling gigs, which was basically the stupidest bit of scheduling I've ever done. It took almost two weeks just to get through all of the culling and post-processing on that.

2. New website. Any day now the old site will be replaced with the new site hosted at www.tituswinters.com. Last year, when I was just dipping my toe into this, I went with the cheapest and quickest hosting just to see if there was any business for me in professional photography. Now, I've spent a lot of hours (more than I care to think about) custom crafting the new website by hand (the benefits of being a geek). So that's real exciting (and will be way more exciting when the domain gets pointed properly.)

3. County fair submissions. Submission registration was due yesterday, so Victoria and I have been spending a lot of time trying to figure out what we are actually submitting this year.

I think now that I'm mostly caught up it should be easier to keep up with flickr. I'll try to catch up with everyone in the next few days, and then should be back to normal.

Personal project. Shapes are fragments of letter anatomy - these are the shapes of serifs, counters, eye, etc...

This was the first final outcome for my personal project. I created advertisements for Moschino using photoshop.

Mackenzie Hawkins plays for the Regina Condors Rugby Club and can be seen at their annual snow sevens fundraiser with his favourite beard toque. When he plays he is always determined, however after this photo as taken he was tackled and not as majestic on the ground. Photo by Heidi Atter.

For my personal project I focused on styling my model to fit Moschino's style and show their brand identity.

My final submission of fashion design sketches; this line up demonstrates the outcome of my developed ideas and how my concept translates into garments.

Street photography in Barcelona, capturing peoples instant and natural reactions to street entertainment.

Eighth week's theme for 52 in 2012 is Self Portrait.

Orginally a gif. Shifting Hue gif. I think it was successful in mixing mediums. If I were to do it again I would like to pla m gif on the TV instead of edit it on.

“When my husband and I went into the interview room, the women looked very intimidating. She asked us one simple question, ‘why do you want to come to Canada?’ I cried and replied, ‘because I have five children and I don't want their future to go to waste. I want my children to have a better future than the one I had’. I think that really resonated with her, which is why a month later we received a letter of acceptance and eventually came to Canada. Today, I look at my children receiving an education and it fills me with immense joy. My children are fulfilling the dream that I had for myself as a kid but was never able to fulfill it.” Saira Azizi is from Kabul, Afghanistan.
