Hi Sue & Claude,
August 4th was a perfect summer day for Manon and Alain's wedding. It took place at 11 o'clock on Manon's beautiful patio.
As at Angèle's wedding, photos were taken at our home first. Ron and Manon then went to Angèle's place where Ron drove Manon in the boat to the wedding. From the dock, Chloë, the flower girl, escorted Manon up the stairs. This time Alain's two nephews were the ring bearers. Aidan got to hand out the bubbles. There was no maid of honour nor best man. Instead, the four sisters were witnesses. You will notice that the same lady minister did both weddings. Drinks and hor d'oeuvres were served on Manon's new lower deck. Dinner was served on the patio. After more photos were taken, everyone enjoyed the afternoon sunning, swimming or fishing. [ napping for Chloë & Denis] A bbq. supper was served followed by fireworks when it became dark enough. A memorable day!

We finally perfected our grilling technique for steaks and had a great meal for the Fourth of July! We also made potato salad with dill and a radish, sugar snap pea and arugula salad.

When I walked out of the office on Friday, I looked up at the sky on the short walk to my car, and marveled at the brilliance and perfection of it. I was instantly smitten with the cloud formations. They're the kind of clouds that a soccer mom in Granite Bay would commission a faux painter to paint on the insanely expensive tray ceiling of their new baby's room. Yeah, they were that perfect.

I went to Paris to see the Noveau Icone Sybarite exhibition and took a travel doll with me to the beautiful streets of Paris. And who else than the Perfect in Paris Misaki!
I used the pattern for the piglet from the World of Knitted Toys book by Kath Dalmeny except I used a different color and then I added wings (of my own pattern) so it is now Perfect the Pig from the children's book which was the Reading Rainbow book of the day from an episode in the '80's about, surprise, pigs (hint: Perfect the Pig had wings and could fly). Made August 2006.

Toronto, Canada. Liberty Village **If you look closely, you can see a series of red and blue lines in the foreground. That was a man riding away on his bicycle, bike lights flashing. This was my favourite Nuit Blanche installation of the evening!
