On a visit to Denmans Gardens Fontwell with the Bognor Regis U3A Camera group when the sun was shining for us.
Taken on a perfect summer evening when the ocean water's were still warm and soothing and the sky turned into a pastel painting by Monet. My wife and I love jumping into the surf and feeling the awe and wonder of the might ocean as we are battered about by the surf. She looked great as always in her red bikini and I love taking silhouette photography as the light of the sun sinks into the sea. Kind of a nature kiss goodbye to a beautiful day. Reap the benefits of the present and then delight in the past. Perfection is but a fleeting moment that can never endure.

I would have to agree with the name of these biscuits because they were just perfect!
They were simple and tasty and full of flavor and made you want to eat the whole batch!
I made them just as posted except I only had to bake mine for 11 minutes so watch yours closely .
Makes 12 biscuits
This recipe is easy to halve if you only need 6 biscuits!
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup cold buttermilk
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
2 tablespoons unsalted butter for brushing biscuit tops
Place rack in middle of oven. Heat oven to 475-degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment.
Whisk dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Set aside.
Whisk cold buttermilk and melted butter in a medium bowl so butter forms small clumps.( It will look some what curdled )
Add buttermilk mixture to flour mixture until just moistened, but well combined.
Portion dough out using a greased 1/4-cup measuring cup. Dough should be level in the 1/4-cup. Drop onto baking sheet. Place biscuits 1 1/2-inches apart.
Bake 12 to 14 minutes, or until tops are golden brown and crisp. Remove from oven and brush with remaining melted butter. Cool five minutes before serving.
NOTES.....I baked mine about 11 minutes!
Makes 12 biscuits .

"If you would know strength and patience, welcome the company of trees." ~Hal Borland
Just spent a fabulous afternoon at our 43 acres. It's amazing how much our baby pine trees have grown in past three years.
I haven't been online much lately. Not sure why but I haven't had the photographic urge. Hoping I'll be back to it now! I've missed you guys!
