I have never managed to get a wide angle lens to create such perfect symmetry before, and it always bugged the crap out of me. But this...what can I say, the stars were in alignment. This is the Chattanooga River Park, a pedestrian bridge across the Tennessee River built in the 19th century and destined for demolition before the decision was made to renovate it for pedestrians.
I was coming home in yet another bout of snow and this song came on the radio at just the right time, perfect for a Holiday Greeting to all my flickr pals.
My Christmas Wish for you:
If you have to drive in a snowstorm, may you have a big-ass plow to lead you safely home.

One of my favourite photos from 2012. I was waiting in this position with my tripod for about ten minutes for people to move out of the shot (at least around the pyramid). There was a massive rain cloud above the Louvre and suddenly a small beam of light appeared from the right and lit the pyramid and the palace behind. I took two shots, and the light was gone.

Perfect day for this view. It was really quite cold in the shade, though.
Only drawback is the brown ivy.
I couldn't wait for the crazy winds to go away so I braved them and got a few photos of Kennedy. I really can't wait to take her out.

Shot this with Carmi awhile back (as usual), had to duplicate some of the butterflies though LOL.
Sweet, sweet song...Hello June, May hasn't been the best month but as long as you know what's in your heart and believe that you can get over the difficulties, then you will come out stronger. "What doesn't kill me, will only make me stronger" right? :) Love and all its complexities. Oh well, when it comes to the matters of the heart, as long as we know it's worth it, keep fighting. Jiayo jiayo!
Happy Week!

That is the name of the pattern, not my analysis of my knitting, hehe!
pattern: Perfect Baby Booties (or at Ravelry)
yarn: Bernat Organic Cotton (in Cactus and Mineral Spring)
needles: knitpicks options size US4
Knit for an old friend who just had twin boys!
These did turn out pretty cute, I must say, though I was nervous at first. I omitted the ribbon/icord tie and made a shorter cuff because I was afraid of running out of yarn.
The organic cotton is actually quite nice, it feels pretty soft (the blue is softer than the green), it held up to a few froggings, etc.
I would definitely knit these again, I just wish there was no seaming!
My grandma just gave me the book they are sitting on, it's a Mother Goose book from 1940ish where 8 or 9 children's illustrators each got their own section to illustrate... some good stuff in there!
Bronze likenesses of children gave me the perfect pose to showcase the abilities of the Sigma 35mm f/1.4.
I had this perfect dream
This dream was me and you
I want all the world to see
A miracle sensation
My guide and inspiration
Now my dream is slowly coming true
The wind is a gentle breeze
The bells are ringing out
They're calling us together
Guiding us forever
Wish my dream would never go away

Well, I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a lover, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
A H.D. Smith & Co. Perfect Handle 1 5/8 inch wrench. It's in very nice condition with some dings in the metal on the head and even some of the original luster on the metal parts of the handle. The other side has "THE H.D. SMITH & CO" stamped on it and on the head "Brown & Sharpe Mfg Co Providence R.I. US.A" along with the size. The neck of the wrench still has most of the paint intact but on one side was ground slightly and stamped with "LOCO MACH 2120". These tools just feel so nice in your hand and look beautiful too.

I made the perfect batch of Colombian rice last night to go with beans & arepas. Don't know if it's the heat or what, but I've been craving some good Colombian food. Normally my rice is good, but this was the best batch of rice I've ever made!
