This beauty came to my deck for a handout. Unlike some of the other cardinals in my yard lately who look scruffy, this gal's feathers are in perfect condition.

(Do you spot the bumblebee on the flower in the middle?)
Started the day early, photographing several idyllic lakes on me and Richard's over 10 hours long photography road trip today. After the road trip we had a lovely time at some of the beautiful beaches of Jæren, and my husband came to join us grilling while watching the sunset.
I'm so lucky having spent so many days and beautiful moments this summer together with this new and really talented friend of mine! You should check out his photostream too.
It's sad that this was the last one before I'm moving further away this weekend. But we're luckily still able to visit each other sometimes, even though it will take more time to get there - so we'll surely experience several new photo trips together in the future.
This amazing day, and the road trip and beautiful hike together with my husband and dog yesterday (I look forward to show you all the waterfall images from that hike), make a perfect ending of my 12 years living on beautiful Jæren.
Serried ranks of Cyclamen at the garden centre.
My usual painstaking technique of layering the two images on my tablet and removing part of the upper photo to reveal the colour from below.

Atlantic Ocean and a lot of shoreline. Developed and undeveloped areas available. Great for birdwatching.
This card is for Hero Arts November challenge (inking theme) and for Holiday Thinking Inking week 7 (Perfect Pearls), project 1 (pearlarized painting). It is possibly the most shimmery card I have ever made. Everything is Perfect Pearled. The houses were clear embossed on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks, Perfect Pearl and water. The snow is Liquid Pearls (white opal), and the door handles are black Enamel Accents. The door of the middle house opens and I stamped a bauble on the inside. The background was made with Chipped Sapphire and some Perfect Pearls. The splattered with more Perfect Pearls to create snow and stamped with Chipped Sapphire. The stars were made by adding a little pool of thick Sunflower Sparkle and water and dragging out the tips with the end of a paint brush. Another piece of watercolour paper was dry embossed and then painted with a concentrated mix of Perfect pearls and water to make the snow on the ground. The front snow piece is attached with foam dots. TFL!!
Supplies: Hero Arts stamps: Sending Holiday Cheer (CL464), Merry Christmas Trees (CL459); Distress inks: fired brick, aged mahogany, bundled sage, peeled paint, forest moss, scattered straw, brushed corduroy, chipped sapphire; Perfect Pearls: perfect pearls, sunflower sparkle; White Opal Liquid Pearls; Tim Holtz Sizziz embossing folder; watercolour paper.
Something about these leaves just looked so much like the perfect archetype of an autumn leaf to me that I had to take a picture of them!
Again, on top of Brasstown Bald with time to kill. The light on the flag was perfect.

“A lot of people ask me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be? I always say 'How to Build a Boat”
A long exposure and Folkestone Harbour combined for a shot with a little extra.
This was a 65 second exposure thanks to my B+W ND110 filter and a small aperture.
The water smoothed out nicely and the blur of the constanly moving boats against the clarity of the background has given this a miniature feel so I boosted the vibrancy to add to the effect.
I was very impressed with Folkestone which had bundles of photo oppurtunities so keep popping back as there is more to come.

Perfect evening to get dolled up for a night out, so I put on a pretty little dress and paired it with my favorite tights. Demure, elegant, and sexy – what do you think?

Over millions of years, polar bears and other arctic mammals have evolved an almost perfect camouflage against the ice and snow. For example, how many arctic wolves can you spot in this picture of a glacier in Prins Christian Sund? (There are seven.)
This Greenlandic postbox is in many ways even more remarkable, having adapted to the typical red Nanortalik dwellings in the space of a few generations. Post Greenland was created in 1938; the original boxes were green.
