You cannot get a morning looking much better than the scene here at West Plain as the California Zephyr as clear signals toward the tunnel district. The head end is approaching Tunnel 2. The trees have a light dusting of snow on them after six inches fell yesterday during a storm.

This is my first bug shot ever!!! My hubby and I went to our local park today so I could look for weeds to shoot and look what I found!!! I couldn't believe it. This guy was chilling on the top of this little twig and posed for me for like 10 minutes!! I was totally amazed. He didn't seem to care that I was only about a foot away from him. Pretty cool, huh? I love the blue around his eyes and that weird big old white thing on his face...looks so interesting. See his little arms too (or legs?) holding onto the twig? Definitely happy I had my macro lens on at the time!
By the way, I'm assuming this is a dragonfly? If not, please let me know. I don't know my bugs. :)

The colours at the beach were just perfect today. It was lovely and warm with a cool breeze blowing. I love these days. I would've liked more waves - it was completely flat with hardly any splashes. O well, there's always tomorrow... :)
