One Perfect Rose
Dorothy Parker
A single flow’r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet—
One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;
“My fragile leaves,” it said, “his heart enclose.”
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet
One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it’s always just my luck to get
One perfect rose.
"Asleep in perfect blue buildings,
Beside the green apple sea,
Gonna get me a little oblivion, baby,
And try to keep myself away from me.
It's 4:30 A.M. on a Tuesday.
It doesn't get much worse than this.
In beds in little rooms in buildings in the middle
Of these lives which are completely meaningless,
Help me stay awake, I'm fallin'..."

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3 verse 16 (NKJV)
Good good Friday.
The day that we, Christians, remember the biggest miracle that ever happend in earth history.
Good good Friday.
Personally, I see this day is a day with the biggest contrast possible: Perfect love that chooses to die in the most imperfect way possible.
Perfect Love that sacrifices itself to make imperfect humans perfect again. Every imperfect human that give their live to this Perfect Love will be made perfect. For ever and ever. Amen.
In this creation I tried to picture this crazy contrast between the perfect love and the imperfect death on a cross. And as much as I'm satisfied with the final result, still it doesn't even close to the bizarre miracle of Jesus, The Perfect love, who died on the cross.
I wish you all a great Good Friday and Easter. I hopethat you all will be remembered about The Perfect Miracle, if you are a Christian or not. And I will pray for all of you that you will find this Perfect Love in your own live.
May the Lord bless you all.
Amen!

This shot was taken last May 12th as the boats begin the season for the crab fishery, that will be delayed this year.
Rain on paeony flower.
I wanted to give my viewer a break from paeony images which explains why this one was taken at the beginning of June but not tinkered with until now.
But your time is up! Back to my favourite flower. [Editor’s note: he always says his favourite is whatever flower he is looking at at the time so don’t take him too seriously (it just encourages him anyway and that is a Bad Thing.)]
Delightful dreamy drops of recent rain on pink paeony petals, actively asking for alliteration…
Rain is interesting because it is pretty pure water (apart from Carbonic acid from the atmosphere, and nitrous and nitric acids from pollutants lol), so it’s got a lot of natural surface tension caused by the peculiar structure of water molecules.
The drops always try and form the shape of least energy, which without gravity would be a perfect sphere. But here we have a stationary drop on a petal so there are three things to balance for the poor overworked droplet: Surface tension with air, surface tension with the petal, and gravity.
You can see that the left-hand curve is bendier than the right as gravity is pulling that way so the two sides are under different tension. And the drop works all that out without a brain - isn’t that wonderful? (Yep, I admit it. I have lost you in my enthusiasm :) ).
One of the nightmares of aspiring physicists is to work out the mathematical equation that would describe the shape of the curves. Which is pretty much why my aspirations became expirations I am sure!
Well, I hope you enjoy the image anyway. Thanks for taking the time to look. Much appreciated, as ever.

I took this photo last June. Wild flowers and weeds.....hmm.....we really do take these
for granted. They are numerous in the spring and summertime bringing colour and
beauty to our countryside. We hear things like...'it;s only a weed, It's only a clover, buttercup
etc. Yet, on closer inspection they are not 'only' anything. They are made so perfectly....
so wonderfully by an Almighty God who made everything .... even more so us.
We are intricately and wonderfully made. Every living thing after it's own kind is so Perfect!
How anyone can believe that all of this just came together by chance....haphazardly ...Bang.... Wallop. ,,,, all on it's own with no help whatsoever. To me this theory is
laughable and makes no sense whatsoever,
Of course everyone is free to believe what they like.....but as for me and my household,
we believe in a most Wonderful, Awesome God, Creator of all things good.......and we
thank Him and Worship Him as the only True and Living God worthy of our praise for
ever and ever.
Thank You Father for All your Awesome Creation.....and Thank You for giving us this
beautiful world to enjoy .
Perfect, why perfect?
I tell you why: This is his new car. The new car of the owner of the white GranTurismo S I posted before. And for me it's soooo awesome, because this is one of my fav cars and as well the colour combination and the configuration (carbon parts/reeding) is just like I would've done it. Almost nothing is different to the one I configurated on the Ferrari page!
This is one of four yellow Californias registered in Germany and the only one in Bavaria!
Today was a perfect autumn day for a hike, with just the right amount of color in the trees and just the right amount of leaves in the water at Dog Slaughter Falls. Finally got a waterfall shot that I'm happy with straight out of the camera!
Nature is simply the greatest designer, we can learn a lot from it ... If we'll be wise enough to preserve it! What unfortunately, I doubt it!

Pretty Valley, Falls Creek, Victoria, AUS.
Having been stuck within a thick layer of cloud through the early parts of the night before, waking in the morning to perfect clear skies brought excitement and created hope for an epic morning of shooting... that was pretty short lived :)
Shortly after I fired off a couple of panoramas, the fog quickly rolled in and engulfed the valley. I don't seem get have much luck with my shoots recently, but in the end it was awesome to just be out amongst the fresh air.
I'm at a beautiful place, enjoying beautiful weather, feeling all girly and wearing my favorite satin playsuit. Life can't get any better and I feel very fortunate today, and I'm definitely cherishing these blissful moments of perfect playsuit pleasure.
From above this looks like the perfect desert island retreat!

While at Hobby Lobby yesterday I found this "decorative" door wall hanging that I thought would be a perfect backdrop for photos with the dolls. Had to get Jamie out for some photos with it.
while standing still this tigress could be easily missed, her fur has the perfect camouflage for this light forest with the high grass and the play of light and shadow...luckily we got warned by a sika deer nearby, Ranthambhore NP, India
