Perceptol controls the grain so much; it almost disappears into creaminess. It’s not my favorite look, but it has a certain charm.
Every time I regret selling my Hasselblad 500 c/m, I pick up this wonderful lens and bellows focusing machine—and forget all my “Hassy-lust” ...

Jan 26th in Australia is "Australia Day". Some people celebrate this day. Some people are opposed to Australia Day (either the date or more broadly, the concept of it). Some just enjoy it as a Summer day off (we get a weekday public holiday regardless of what day Jan 26th actually is). I was in Melbourne CBD on Jan 26th this year and walked past an anti Australia Day protest. I saw this fellow standing apart from the crowd. Perhaps as a courtesy while he finished his cigarette. I was impressed with the effort he'd gone to removing the Union Jack from the flag and wondering about the symbolism of it. Maybe his message was along the lines of advocating for Australia to de-link from its British colonial past and become a fully independent republic? In retrospect I should have walked over and asked him.
All this aside, I just like the photo :-)

I attempted to focus on the separation in tonal values that is created from the different layers of trees. The negative space that is created from the dense black is it right or is it to much? Well only you can be the judge. I enjoy shooting at that entry level of IR film! In and around 710 nm. I find it to be the middle ground of IR, kind of like one foot in the IR (dream) world and one foot in the UV (real) world. It's magical yet logical at the Sametime. Developed in Perceptol 1:3 18 min, stand proc. Not selenium toned.

Opo was the name of a dolphin that played with swimmers in this area, becoming a national celebrity. Sadly, Opo was found dead in circumstances that were never fully explained. It was speculated at the time, that some local people had knowledge of events around Opo's death that they have kept to themselves ever since.

A 12 second exposure on the banks of Loch Lomond. This roll was shot with the 6x9 mask which is a better frame in my opinion.

I posted this photo to illustrate the light leak problem. I believe the problem is not with the camera but occurred some time when I was bulk loading the film.
