Honestly Ottawa, Ontario is a fantastic city to photograph. And I'm not just talking Parliament Hill but you start moving deeper into the downtown there's a lovely mix of every style of architecture from late 19th century through the 20th and now into modern structures of steel and glass.

A rather exciting divergence in Canon's camera line, the Pellix is unique among SLRs of the day as the first to use a pellicle mirror. A mirror is fixed in place, allowing some light to be reflected in the viewfinder and the rest to hit the film. As such, metering can be tricky with an external meter. A unique piece of photographic history for sure.

I think I should have gone with Perceptol rather than Microphen here, while not my favourite combination, it isn't a bad one either. The tone, contrast, and sharpness are all good, but you do get a bit more grain than I was expecting.

Thanks to a rumour started in the early days of the Internet; the Maxxum 28-135mm lens has earned the nickname 'Secret Handshake Lens' as it was rumoured that Minolta sold the lens at cost as a thank-you. Of course, those are unfounded rumours, but there's no secret that this is a fantastic lens! A perfect carry around lens when you have room for one camera and one lens.

An accidental double exposure of Loch Lomond and the end of a waterfall entering the loch. I'm sad I don't have the waterfall on it's own but this is still quite interesting. Both around 28 seconds.
