Street level view of a portion of a mural by Adrian Hayles featuring figures from Toronto's music history. This is Shirley Matthews peeking over the foliage on Yonge Street, south of Carlton. The 22-storey tribute also features Ronnie Hawkins, Glenn Gould, Diane Brooks, Jackie Shane, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Gordon Lightfoot and Oscar Peterson. Hayles is working on another giant mural with more contemporary music icons

I am beginning a temporary job on Sunday, and will work for eight days straight. Sunday I will work from 8:30 in the morning until 7:00 in the evening. Not much time for Flickering, but I will be "peeking" in when I get a chance.

Remember those cute little raccoons nestled in the bottom of the can I use for leaves? Well, here's one of them having returned. He has climbed up the giant rhododendron and was looking at me through a second-story window while I was working on my computer. What could I do? First, I got my camera and took a picture and then I called for the animal control officer to bring a trap.

These flowers are peeking through the fence saying Hello to the sun. HFF

A peek into two of the stores at Tuttle Mall. One completely empty and one with a ghost. This mall has been devastated by covid and the economy going virtual.

Back from holiday where I spent some time chasing damselflies which i miss since moving to Iceland. But, frustratingly, I forgot my extension tubes. I thus decided to attempt to capture some shots of the entire damslfly, its been a while since I did some macro so took a few hours to get to grips with it again.

If anyone can help with a species id I would appreciate it.

Thanks for viewing, I am also on Facebook, come and Like my page as the more the merrier :)

Our Daily Challenge

I threw a blanket over Zoe in her bed beside my computer chair for the challenge. I'm beginning to get the hang of all these new Flickr screens. I still don't like all the images that show up initially, letting me know that someone that I don't know has commented on one of my contact's photos. How stupid is that?

A giraffe peeks out from behind a tree in the main savannah of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando, Florida.

One of the highlights of our most recent trip to WDW was going on the Wanyama Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge. The safari offers a chance to ride through the savannahs at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kidani Village, guided by a member of Disney's Animal Care Team, followed by a "family style" dinner at Jiko for the tour group.

It was incredible to get so close to the animals, and our guide, Bethany, knew the names and history of all of them. I've never been so close to such majestic creatures.

The tour is offered once per day, and the maximum group size is 12, so it feels wonderfully intimate and special.

I see both of you! One of these squirrels was NOT happy that Tina and I were around! We were being squawked at the whole time we were there! Hehe!

Peeking through the foliage at a sheep

This is one of my ferrets, Bam Bam and it was so nice out today I took him out to play and he kept peeking out from a blanket and that's when I got the shot.
