The Payloader has run out of dumptrucks and has to wait until they return from the City snowdump ready for another load.

They had all kinds of cameras documenting this event. They even had a live feed of inside the payload bay and flight deck aboard Endeavour.

Lindsey, along with other crew members, have been participating in SPACEHAB familiarization in the SPPF. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - STS-107 Payload Commander Michael Anderson is happy to being suiting up for launch on mission STS- 107. The mission is devoted to research and will include more than 80 experiments that will study Earth and space science, advanced technology development, and astronaut health and safety. The payload on Space Shuttle Columbia includes FREESTAR (Fast Reaction Experiments Enabling Science, Technology, Applications and Research) and the SHI Research Double Module (SHI/RDM), known as SPACEHAB. This two-satellite CubeSat payload created by students from Utah State University is designated Dynamic Ionosphere CubeSat Experiment, or DICE. DICE will study Storm Enhanced Density (SED) bulge and plume features that occur frequently in the U.S. in the late afternoon during magnetic disturbances. Each of the two identical satellites is one and one-half unit (1. U) in size and will launch together to remove spatial and temporal ambiguities in the observation of the plasma density and electric fields in the ionosphere. DICE will enable better understanding of ionospheric variability during solar storms, which has a dramatic effect on radio frequency systems. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. -- The aeroshell for Mars Exploration Rover 2 rests on a rotation stand in the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility. Set to launch in 2003, the MER Mission will consist of two identical rovers designed to cover roughly 110 yards each Martian day. Each rover will carry five scientific instruments that will allow it to search for evidence of liquid water that may have been present in the planet's past. The rovers will be identical to each other, but will land at different regions of Mars. The first rover has a launch window opening May 30, and the second rover a window opening June 25, 2003. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - Workers in the Multi-Payload Processing Facility watch the progress of the overhead crane carrying the Hitchhiker Bridge with GetAway Special canisters (GAS cans). The bridge, a carrier for the Fast Reaction Experiments Enabling Science, Technology, Applications and Research (FREESTAR) that incorporates eight high priority secondary attached shuttle experiments, is being transferred to the payload canister below it. The bridge will be installed in Columbia's payload bay as part of mission STS-107. A research mission, STS-107 will also carry the SHI Research Double Module (SHI/RDM), known as SPACEHAB. Experiments on the module range from material sciences to life sciences (many rats). A Small Payload - As we started off the morning, the traps were coming up with small numbers of crabs. Rick said that it was due to the winds that we had been experiencing for the past several days. NASA image captured July 12, 2011..With his feet secured on a restraint on the space station remote manipulator system's robotic arm or Canadarm2, NASA astronaut Mike Fossum (frame center) holds the Robotics Refueling Mission payload, which was the focus of one of the primary chores accomplished on a six and a half hour spacewalk on July 12. The failed pump module is with DEXTRE on left side of the photo. NASA astronauts Fossum and Ron Garan performed the six-hour, 31-minute spacewalk, which represents the final scheduled extravehicular activity during shuttle missions. ..Among Atlantis’s final contributions to the ISS is the Robotic Refueling Mission, developed at Goddard Space Flight Center. Atlantis brought this module to the International Space Station, where it will provide key support in maintaining future spacecrafts for years to come. STS-135 astronauts traveled to Goddard to complete special training for these robotics, a major component of the final shuttle mission. The STS-105 and Expedition Three crews are at Kennedy Space Center participating in a Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test, a dress rehearsal for launch. The activities also include a simulated launch countdown and familiarization with the payload. Mission STS-105 will be transporting the Expedition Three crew, several payloads and scientific experiments to the International Space Station aboard Space Shuttle Discovery. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. -- Technicians in the Payload Changeout Room oversee the transfer of the U.S. Lab Destiny to the orbiter˝s payload bay. The PCR is the enclosed, environmentally controlled portion of the rotating service structure that supports payload delivery at the launch pad and vertical installation in the orbiter payload bay. Destiny, a key element in the construction of the International Space Station is designed for space science experiments and already has five system racks installed inside. STS-98 is the seventh construction flight to the ISS. Launch of STS-98 is scheduled for Jan. 19 at 2:11 a.m. EST. Rather than ordering a clear 5" tube for the BT-60, I improvised one using a florescent light bulb plastic guard. It's a little bigger than the BT-60, but some electrical tape fixed up the nose cone's fit. I modified the guard's end cap using scrap balsa, CA glue, and a large safety pin to create my own balsa nose block. To improve the security of the payload section, I used 3 screws (about the size used for eyeglasses) to hold the clear payload section to the nose block.
