SOPHIE is an adorable BROWN MACKEREL PATCHED TABBY (coloration) or TORBIE MAINE COON. She just turned 1 years old, is spayed and has her claws. She is also polydactyl and has 1 extra toe on each feet. Sophie and her half-siblings Oliver and Maddie were originally purchased from a breeder but their owner fell on financial hard times and needed to find them new homes. Sophie is everything a Maine Coon should be. She is HUGE! She is furry! She has tail longer than the state of Maine (ok, that might be an exaggeration). Since she is only 1, she has some growing left to do and while only currently 10 pounds, is expected to become larger over the next year. Sophie is funny, curious and affectionate. She is a bit cautious at the beginning, but once she is comfortable in her surroundings, then she is rambunctious and silly. She will need regular grooming due to the length and density of her coat, but she loves being combed. Sophie is accepting of cat-friendly dogs, other cats with a proper introduction and great with kids that treat her with respect. Sophie adores her half-siblings and must go home with either Oliver or Maddie. She seeks them out for snuggles and is always trying to hang out with one of them. ADOPTION FEE $650 with either Oliver or Maddie, $950 for all three. FOSTERED IN OAK PARK, IL.
