I have been a fan of Arlo Guthriesince 1972. In 2000 I was on the way into my part time job when I heard he was going to be in the next town over that night. I took the day off, headed for the concert - only to fined out that it was soldout. As I was leaving a gentleman sold mea ticket because he had been stood-up and had tickets he did not need.
Arlo does a great show - worth see if you get a chance.
The American Theatre is in the Phebous section of Hampton, Virginia.

I made this photo from the passenger seat of a moving car in March 2011 but had not published it until I discovered that The Liverpool Echo reported this story on 31st January 2013.
The opportunity to point out the situational irony of a non-existent 'Paradox' could not be missed and appealed to my sense of humour!
"An iconic tower which used to be the Paradox nightclub was knocked down yesterday.
The art-deco style clock tower, on Ormskirk Road, Aintree – which used to be the Vernon Pools building – was demolished after years of decay.
The site is set to become a two-storey retail and leisure complex run by Sports Direct Ltd.
The building started out in the 1920s as the Vernon Pools building, but when they moved to new premises in 1991 it became the Paradox nightclub.
But the club was shut in 2001 after local residents made a series of allegations about violence, drug use and under-age drinking.
Since it shut, however, the tower has been left to rot and had become an eyesore.
While people held fond memories of the club, the building was never listed and therefore could be knocked down.
The plans submitted in November last year were for a 3,716 sq m building, with a shop, gym, restaurant and 154 space single-storey car park.
It is hoped the new complex will create 20 full-time and 58 part-time jobs."

"I made an icon of Mary in lockdown. I teach and have another part-time job, from which I have been furloughed. I have been very disturbed by these world events but lockdown has given me more time to make. I made the broccoli image at the beginning of lockdown. I found painting little repetitive patterns soothing, and food, or lack of it, was very important. People who could, were beginning to grow their own vegetables. The broccoli is made by melting glass over a plaster cast that I made from a piece of broccoli. "

With only a part time job and Driver's Ed, it is excessive to what I'm used to. Sometimes I just get way too stressed out. And that creates this picture taken before work.
My pores look yucky, but I had to emphasis the teardrop. My eye looks cool, and for once I didn't edit my eye color, that's the real me.

There are part-time jobs in Japan that requires you to hold something-- poster, placard, picture, etc in order to advertise. Due to my limited Nihonggo skills, I could only read some parts in the placard this guy had been holding: BOYS, kudasai(please), aidoru (idol), then a heart sign. Was he looking for boy-love? :))

Bands like ginnan boys usually will play in small live house so the chances of the ticket being sold out is high
Japanese always use this method to beg other gig goers who have extra tickets to sell..."

September 10-17 is National GEAR UP Week and an assembly kicked it off at Lincoln HS on Monday morning.
The featured speaker was Kile Snider, valedictorian from Lincoln’s class of 1984.
Snider was introduced by John Gilman, GEAR UP Iowa’s Project Coordinator and a classmate who remains a close friend. Snider recalled that when he was a high school junior he sang in the school’s choir, played football and worked a part-time job at Dahl’s in addition to his classwork. After graduation he studied engineering at Iowa State and later earned a Master’s Degree at Cal-Davis before launching a career in municipal wastewater purification that’s based now in Fort Collins, CO and has taken him as far around the world as Australia. Literally, Snider’s work makes the world a better place.

I have a new part time job at this glorious nursery. Just two days a week making hanging baskets.. I'm loving it!
Playing with my camera in my hotel room, wearing my hat that the people at Whataburger gave me, and thinking about how much I love and am fascinated by customer service stuff.
I've often thought of getting a part-time job as a host at a restaurant just for the experience of it, and one of the greatest honors ever extended to me was a shot to work at the Apple Store in the Annapolis Mall. I would have taken it, but my job has me out days and a lot of nights/weekends, so I couldn't schedule it. It would have been a great experience! (I applied online during the summer, when I was between gigs and working as a temp, doing data entry - which was a great experience, too.)
The world is full of regular people, most of whom get treated as if they were invisible. I'm just not OK with that, plus it's no fun.
The good news is that I'm pretty much invisible to the people who treat people as if they were invisible, or worse - as a commodity or an asset, like you were a ream of paper or a case of motor oil! - so I get to have as much fun and be as interactive as I want to.
And so do you.
You're probably already doing a lot of little kindnesses every day, never expecting anything in return, so keep it up. You are making a difference.
An awful lot of people don't run into people like you on a regular basis. May our tribe increase!
Life is not only way too short to be a jerk, it's also way too short to pass up on the abundance of simple opportunities to make a small difference to someone, somewhere.

I'm still not very into this project as far as creativity. Work, the holidays and two kids take up most of my time. I forget that when I attempted this project before, I was pretty much a stay at home mom with a part time job. The good new is, it's only day 12 of 365 days. :-)
While at my part time job last Friday evening, I was in Benkelman, NE in southwest Nebraska.A line of thunderstorms formed in eastern Colorado and extended into southwestern Nebraska ans northwestern Kansas. At one point, we had five severe thunderstorm warnings and four tornado warnings in the area where i was. The lightning was amazing but the rain started 20 minutes after I set up the camera and I barely got everything put away before the sky opened up.It was an amazing show and I was really disappointed I only got these three crappy pictures to show for it...
Diona Farris is a 30 year old no life on the computer. Her life fucked up once my grandmother Marry L Farris passed away but it was only bad because she was unemployed and living off her mortgage so when she passed me and my mother Donna R Farris were evicted and homeless. Now all she been using sl to cope with her fucked up life is Second Life even when she has a part time job at Jc Penny cashier. Diona and her mother Donna started fighting so much as she drinks to cope with her stress that Diona couldn't even have a beautiful mother's day. Pray for her or give me a shout (323) 424-8659
It has been so long since I have been really on flickr. Five classes, and a part time job, equals no free time, literally! Lol
Billie didn't know that her retirement would involve helping to raise her grandchildren. Her pay from a part-time job is the only income in her household of six. Discovering the Community Market of Pottawatomie County has helped to relieve some of her stress.
"If this place didn't exist, I don't know what I would do," she said. "I hate to even think about it because it would be really hard. This place is really important. Every time I leave here, I thank God for you."
Billie said that bringing home fresh, healthy food is something her grandchildren look forward to.
"They come running out to see what I've brought home," she said. "It makes them very happy."
Making sure her grandchildren are well fed is very important to Billie.
"I let the grandkids eat first to make sure there's enough for them. I make sure they have something to eat, no matter what," she said. "So if I have to eat fruit or something else, that's okay as long as their stomachs are full."

Today was another great day.
I got stuff done.
For once he wasnt his pessimistic self today. Actually looked/acted happy. They made a vegetable patch thing today out of railway sleepers and time. Quite impressed tbh.
I went up again, an hour late, visibility was much better (about 1km this time :) ) meaning perfect cloudbankrollingovermountainridge oppertunity, only problem was I was an hour late= less light = iso3200, f/3.5, 1/25th second HANDHELD. Couldnt get anything more out of the poor camera. Thanks goodness for IS on the 28-135mm :)
It was so quiet up there today. Hardly any wind which ment I could hear NOTHING but the faint bird-song all around me, I didnt see any birds though. Im just annoyed I didnt get to spend enough time up at the summit to explore the ridge (to the left in that picture). I will do that next only maybe I'll bring my cousin and go after lunch so we have plenty of time. The decent today was sketchy. tbh I couldnt actually see the trail that well as I started going down at about 10:05pm lol However I went much faster than before as a result. Almost came off at speed too from hitting a rough section without depth perception lol I really should be wearing armour up there but it's still as fun as it was the first time :)
That mountain may very well become my new non-forest playground :)
This picture looks like it was taken with my cameraphone, prob thanks to iso3200 and the fact I had to (AGAIN) re-do the processing after Ps pooped itself a little when I asked it to crop the 12,000+px wide original. Wimp :P
I've a few more things to clear up tomorrow, forms to fill out, picture to print etc. I really hope I get that part-time job. I will. :)
