The Wave by Scott Brownrigg Architects.
Taken at dusk, this is a multi-storey car park in Cardiff Bay. The very simple undulating sunshades transform the building into something approaching an object of beauty, my only worry is I'm just not sure how long they'll last.
A 50mm perspective of my parking structure stairwell. Have I ever mentioned my structure? I love it.
cwd182: Perspective - Things that are close are big. Things that are far away are little. Yes -- that's an over-simplification. But you get the idea, right?
Reno - Blowing Off Some Steam. April 7, 2016 ©Copyright 2017 Karlton Huber Photography - all rights reserved.
2 days shy of a year ago. Morning explorations along the streets of downtown Reno Nevada. I liked the way the light was illuminating the venting steam.

This picture was shot on a tripod with two sets of nine exposures (-4..-3..-2..-1..0..+1..+2..+3..+4 EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tonemapping and detail enhanced. Stitched together in Photoshop to create this panorama. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop.1 layer mask to increase the contrast of Mount Hood and the sky. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Used Nik Sharpener Pro to sharpen image.
We were at the airport to pick up a friend, Allyson, who's visiting from Southern California. Her flight was delayed and we decided to park at top of the short-term garage to take some shots of the airport at sunset. I decided to do a panorama to capture Mount Hood and the moonrise on opposite sides of the air traffic controller tower. Presented in full HDR!

Nassaukade | Europarking 24/10/2024 12h32
Amsterdam is counting down to its 750th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2025. The city's most practical building has already been dressed in the house style of this grand event. A jubilee year is coming.
Point of view is the Nassaukade. Looking to the other side of the Singelgracht of the city of Amsterdam to what is considered the most uggly building of Amsterdam, the Europarking on the Marnixstraat of Amsterdam. A building with 7 floors and in total 700 parking places. Construction started in 1965 and this builing was completed in 1971. The garage was built on this location, because on this location in the original metro plan for Amsterdam a major subway station was planned, the Rozengracht metro station on the western branch of the East / West Line which has never been built so far.
At the ground floor is Waterkant ('Waterfront') located. A huge terrace for a tropical drink and a tropical bite. Crowded with good weather because there is sun the whole afternoon and evening.
this is one of my favorite pictures i've ever taken, i think because of the light (i've got a thing for light if you didnt know, coughMYGALLERIEScough) and i liked the setting.
im going to coachella this weekend (weekend two), any of you going? i've been waiting and saving up for this for more than a year and i cant believe the time is here. i'm taking some disposable cameras so i should have some pictures later.
Greenway Parking garage is how all parking structures should be. I love the ornamental and functional wind spirals.
