I have formed the habit of taking a photo of the view from beside my car any time I park in an unfamiliar place. It reduces hunting for a lost car! I parked on the "Purple" level of a multi-level parking structure.

Am Rand der Rampe

auf zwei Beinen, Füßen

steht eine gelbe Planke,

die hat diesen

Zweck, Sinn allein,

sie soll den Autos sagen:

Fahrt nicht in meine Wand hinein,

denn Euch schmerzts mehr

als es mir schadet

und, tut ihrs nicht,

dann werdet ihr von mir in

rotes Licht gebadet.

Die Autos sehens,

hupen, blinken,

dann fahrn sie ihrem

Vordermann in'n Hinterschinken.

Und sieht der rot,

sie können nicht dafür,

weil schrankenlos

ist Licht der Weg zur Tür.

Have a fantastic day, everyone...

Several downtown building under construction not far from where I live. Here these three skycranes seemingly rose from the concrete structures, towering above them and adding that nice tonal contrast with some clouds in the skies. What I did this day was something I'd read about a few years ago and try to do from time to time in composing images using LiveView on my Nikon D800E but with the Picture Control setting to monochrome (digital-photography-school.com/how-to-use-monochrome-prev...). I later did some post-production work in Lightroom for the final image.

The Wave by Scott Brownrigg Architects.

Taken at dusk, this is a multi-storey car park in Cardiff Bay. The very simple undulating sunshades transform the building into something approaching an object of beauty, my only worry is I'm just not sure how long they'll last.

A 50mm perspective of my parking structure stairwell. Have I ever mentioned my structure? I love it.

Reno - Blowing Off Some Steam. April 7, 2016 ©Copyright 2017 Karlton Huber Photography - all rights reserved.

2 days shy of a year ago. Morning explorations along the streets of downtown Reno Nevada. I liked the way the light was illuminating the venting steam.
