named for the Damien Jurado song I'm listening to.
out from my window, across from the city
i have what's considered a good view
two blocks from the subway, three from the fountain
where i walk to break in my new shoes
she stands on the sidewalk just waving at taxis
like horses and parades in passing
i ask where she's headed, she tells me ohio
i've not seen my mother in ages
it's been a long time
a real long time
out from my window, how far is ohio?
she laughed, and pointed out east
she said i grew up there with my dear mother
and i haven't seen her since thirteen
you see i was taken while she lay sleeping
by my father's hired men
we moved to the city, so far from my family
i haven't been back there since
it's been a long time
a real long time
out from my window, please hear me ohio
your daughter wants to come home
she longs to be with you, to hug you, to kiss you
to never leave her alone
and i've gotten to know her, to live with to love her
it's hard to see her leave
she belongs to her mother and the state of ohio
i wish she belonged to me
see you some time
see you some time

A big shout-out to Andreas (xizoom) for posting an image of this beast a while back, otherwise I would have never looked for it when I was in the area!
I've begun a Photo a Day project, you can view and read about it here.
We went to see Quantum of Solace on this particular night. It was very awesome. There's been a lot of hate on the film because it lacked the depth of the other James Bond films. It was a sequel though, and we already knew that it was going to be a continuation of Casino Royale. Casino Royale is my favorite James Bond film, this one wasn't bad though. I love Marc Forster and his style as a director. He's one of my favorite directors. If you all haven't seen the movie Stay which was another movie of his, please stop reading this and go see that film. It is my favorite movie of all time, with Ewan McGreggor, Naomi Watts, and Ryan Gosling. A fantastic script, the best score I've ever heard, and some of the best film making I've ever seen. The movie isn't for everyone though, it's a very deep film with very deep tones. It makes you feel.
If you wan to listen to a couple of amazing score, download the soundtrack to Stay, the soundtrack to the Fountain, the soundtrack to Donnie Darko, and the soundtrack to 28 Days Later. And also, if you've never seen any of the films with these scores, I suggest you see them. They have some of the best film making I've ever seen. I'd love to hear what your opinion is on the matter.
The Division Street Garage, know by locals as the "Habitrail," or the "Hamster Cage," is a colorful parking lot in downtown East Lansing. It was erected in 1988. Joan Hunault (EL's mayor at the time) envisioned the structure as part of the movement to make East Lansing Michigan's "City of the Arts."

This will be one of the last times that I step foot in this place. This is the kind of place where the Ninja Turtles would rescue me from the foot clan. Similar to the set of The Big Bang Theory, the elevator upfront has been out of order for a few months. Who knows how many more "seasons" it'll be out of order for.
Doubles in Dublin.....
Let's start off with the buses, terminus for orbital route 18 from Sandymount to Palmerstown, Go Ahead Volvo's doing a double act, in the rear 11557 & with leading 11911.
Some traffic bollards to stop the school runners from parking on the school entrance, literally, nicely finished off as school pencils.
Finally, my favourite ESB chimneys in the distance of Poolbeg.

I did not expect to shoot this today. I never know what will get my attention.
On a whim, I came up to what I thought was an empty above ground parking lot. Not only was I surprised to see work trucks but this beautiful, 2°F sunrise.
The North Grand Avenue Parking Structure Annex, built in 1985 with two additional floors being added in 1987. It will be torn down to open the Ottawa Street Station back up to Grand Avenue.
