The main gate at Paramount. Through the gates you can make out one of the largest scenic backdrops in the world, sitting behind a sunken parking lot that can be flooded to create a huge water tank.
The palm trees of Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
After growing up with Universal Studios, I was jaded to backlots until I visited Paramount Pictures. This lot is small, but stunning in its detail. The buildings are unique and look real from many angles. The architecture is not specific and quite varied, but those details just slayed me. Even the cracks in the sidewalk were planned by an art director. I stayed far too long, but adored the Paramount Pictures backlot.
My remake on the 2012 Paramount Pictures logo.
Same as before, but I removed 100 Years from the logo and I shifted the Viacom byline up just like in the late-2012 logo.
My remake on the final version of the 100th Anniversray variant of the 2012 Paramount Pictures logo.

Same as before, but I added the stars animation into the model and the text was done in Sony Vegas.

1988 Schwinn Paramount, converted for some light gear hauling and rides with my family. I know, I've turned a "race bike" into a bit of a bastard! 28C with a sprung saddle.... Sorry purists! Rides like a dream in it's current form.
Oktoberfest 2018 at The Paramount. This fun event included live music with Die Spitzbaum and DJ Beso spinning tunes between sets. Lots of Beer, food fun and games including a Miss Oktoberfest Contest and a Beer Belly Contest. Rob Rush from 94.3 The Shark Radio Station was also there to MC the event. These were shot for The Paramount in Huntington, NY 10/07/2018

The musical Wicked just opened at Seattle's historic Paramount Theatre last Wednesday. I can't believe how many American cities have a theater named Paramount and wonder if they were connected with Paramount Studios. Seattle's was built in 1928 as a movie theater and vaudeville stage, and boasts a mighty Wurlitzer organ and America's first convertible floor that allowed the main seating area in the nearly 3000 seat venue to be converted to a ball room. The interior is lovely in the grand old style, and a fun place to see a show. I took this shot on Thursday night after patrons were already inside enjoying the performance. Some of my friends who have seen Wicked report they go around humming tunes from this show and that they loved it. Did you read the book or see the musical?
