Paper to Pearls is a project of "Voices of Global Change" that sells jewelry crafted from recycled paper that is handcrafted by women in refugee camps in Uganda. Almost all of the proceeds from the jewelry is returned directly to the women so that they can become independent and provide educational opportunities for their children. An inexpensive gift wrapping option. I was at Michael's yesterday and was looking at the scrapbooking papers. and realized they were just big pieces of origami paper.

These are 4x5 format paper negatives (scanned and reversed) which I took at a photo workshop at the weekend (run by Alastair Cook alastaircook.com/ ) at the John Gray Centre, Haddington, as part of the Festival of Museums.

This is a one page description from 1956 of an attachment to the Monotype keyboard which perforates a plain roll of paper in the machine. It can take a roll up to 7" in diameter; this would alleviate any current Monotype paper shortages. I am interested if any one has this attachment & how easy would it be to machine copies. On the internet, one can see pictures of the real thing on Tipoteca Italiana's Monotype keyboard in Italy.

Paper Cut-Out.

Sara wanted me to do this cut-out for her sister. It ends up being slightly smaller than 8.5" x 11". First animal paper cut-out, think it came out okay. THE DOG IS NOT REALLY CROSS-EYED.

Two months ago I discovered such a wonderful theme like paper lightboxes! I found it very interesting and started to learn this creating style

I wanted lightboxes to be disassembled and made a way to create it with paper, cardboard & PET plastic. Picture sizes are about A4 format, total thickness is 3-4 cm
