shot this one before decided to do it again with my 8x10 and a paper negative. shot with my newly aquired calumet c1 (the black monster) this camera is awsome. shot using the old brass b&l circa 1891 or so. the paper was arista edu ultra 8x10 grade 2 exposed at iso 6
Watching the pereformers a young girl plays with her paper dragon. For me sometimes what the audience are doing watching a show are more interesting than the show it's self.

my friend kaleem has been folding paper into crazy shapes. i took this picture of one of his latest creations today. this is one sheet of paper, no cuts.

I held a series of three sessions at KPF NY demonstrating severals ways to transform a flat single sheet of paper into a complex form. I demonstrated folds that used both standard origami techniques (square paper, no cutting) and more modern approaches (laser-cut and -scored curves). The square forms date back to the Bauhaus movement and I was inspired by the work I did for Erik and Marty Demaine when choosing the shapes of the curved forms. Special thanks also to Alex Soijka who helped with the video.

I love this picture! My belly cast (baby's first apartment) is on the wall, and you can just make out one of our wedding pictures, and of course, the star of the show, the result of both the wedding and the pregnancy- hamming it up in a paper hat!

The Asian paper wasp was first reported 1979 in NZ. They feed on caterpillars and are a threat to our favourite monarch butterflies. DOC says nests should be destroyed, but do it carefully as stings from Polistes chinensis (antennalis) are said to be the most common stings in Auckland.
There is really no hope for getting rid of this wasp by destroying nests as the species is well entrenched and was considered impossible to eradicate soon after it was detected here.
