In running some paper tests in the darkroom today I noticed some interesting patterns that I then took to extremes and trashed a bunch of paper while not printing a single print, which had been my original goal.
These Tamper Proof Prescription Pads/Paper have been approved by almost every state. They are required for medicaid patients, but can been securely used for all patients.

Feeling better ;-) Thanks for all your kind words.
made with Paper iOS app, without lifting my finger until the i, j, and t.
it's something of a hobby/habit, these lowercase, single-stroke, alphabets... using my finger instead of a pen/cil was a bit of a challenge.

The commission was to create a guestbook for a steampunk + peacock themed wedding (there would be a peacock feather pen for signing the book, for example). The bride & groom had had very cool silhouettes created for their invitations so I made those into pages. I also included a piece from a vintage map showing the Isle of Wight, where the wedding was taking place, and vintage paper index tabs spelled out NIAN which was the couple's combined names.

Devillish contrast even for salted paper but with room for improvement. My own fault when I asked them to wear some light coloured clothing. They arrived in black-and-white, how appropriate :-)
Gift paper 30x30cm
I saw beautiful gift paper flowers folded by Doris. I immediately sharpend my cutting tool ...
This little guy is made out of two different pieces of paper that I saved from the scrap bin at work. Cut on my Craft Robo pro.
You think I like to stand all day, all night,
all any kind of light, to be subject only
to wind? You are right. If seasons undo
me, you are my season. And you are the light
making off with its reflection as my stainless
steel fins spin.
On lawns, on lawns we stand,
we windmills make a statement. We turn air,
churn air, turning always on waiting for your
season. There is no lover more lover than the air.
You care, you care as you twist my arms
round, till my songs become popsicle
and I wing out radiants of light all across
suburban lawns. You are right, the churning
is for you, for you are right, no one but you
I spin for all night, all day, restless for your
sight to pass across the lawn, tease grasses,
because I so like how you lay above me,
how I hovered beneath you, and we learned
some other way to say: There you are.
You strip the cut, splice it to strips, you mill
the wind, you scissor the air into ecstasy until
all lawns shimmer with your bluest energy.

An anonymous paper prototype/idea. Each workshopper responded to one of the best ideas from their team brainstorm, using any of the various materials I provided.
many of the ideas considered geolocation, personalising the Gormley figures, engaging young children, various "Where's Wally" ideas and many more brilliant ideas.
The Division of Insects receives thousands of specimens as donations to the collection each year. Once in a while we receive dried specimens that are not pinned but wrapped in paper or plastic. Recently we received a collection that included a variety of insects neatly packaged in plastic. These specimens were collected in Indonesia and Africa.
Once the donation is accessioned, the work behind the scenes begins. Dried insects are very stiff and brittle, but providing a source of moisture “relaxes” the muscles so the parts can be moved without breaking. This process can be done in a plastic container lined with wet paper towels, and a piece of plastic or foam on top of the paper towels to work as a barrier. The specimens are placed on top of the barrier and the container sealed for 24-48 hours. Moisture builds up in the container and seeps into the specimens, “relaxing” them. They can then be pinned, labelled, and added to the collection.

Paper Animation Kits are great for first-time model builders! What are paper animation kits? Flying Pig and Bob the Dog Animated Paper Models are "automata" - toys or models which use mechanism to "come alive!" Automata have a long and distinguished history. Whether made from paper, wood, brass or leather, they have delighted young and old alike for hundreds of years. Today, building paper automata is still a passion for many.
Both Bob the Dog and Flying Pig animated models are super family activities for both parents and children. Each comes with easy to follow, fully illustrated instructions (just pop out die-cut pieces, glue and assemble) - all you need is some white school glue! Animated models are a fun and easy way to learn about basic mechanisms - you make the cranks and levers that make the model move!
I found this lovely eye-catching work while I was walking around York last weekend.
This wallpaper installation is part of the nationwide exhibition 'Paper Trail' by Deborah Bowness. Manchester is the next city on the tour.

I'm having fun making some special christmas paper cuts for a swap I'm participating in. I have some pretty velum and kite papers that I'm going to use to create color that will shine when they are hung in a window :)
