These tissue paper flowers are made from red tissue paper and repurposed sewing patterns. Each flower is about 4" across and the black pipe cleaner stem is about 8" long with a button threaded on for fun. Each flower is unique and the set of 4 will be randomly chosen from those I have on hand. Make great gift toppers!

Who knew that there was more toilet paper engineering possible after family super duper jumbo mega rolls. Now Procter & Gamble have come out with wavy perforations.

“Consumers’ #1 complaint to our call centers over the years has been the uneven tears from the square shape,” said Weaver. “The uneven tear is a result of straight perforations that don’t match the direction that consumers pull sheets and where the toilet paper is hung in the bathroom. The new Charmin wavy perforation ensures that you’re able to tear smoothly no matter where and how you tear.”

Cover of the Pitch! A little diorama action. Everything was hand built out of paper and then photographed. Photo and art direction by Zach Trover (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ztrover/)

I'll post some "making of" photos tonight.

I cleaned up all of the scraps, and sorted them into the bins. I added a table cloth and moved the cutter to the other side since I keep bumping into it every time I exit the room!

The shelf above the table is where I keep the shop merchandise. On the top are jars full of ribbon spools.

The little letter holder will eventually be painted, I just haven't gotten to that yet. It contains small paper scraps.

Instructions for making 3-D paper star here. They probably use A4 instead of 8.5x11, but it sort of still worked with a bit of additional tweaking.

captured a picture of this great paper lantern at Nana Sushi in Norfolk Virginia. High wattage Paper lanterns are prized by photographers for the soft edgeless light they produce and are often used in film making. In photography they are called "China Balls". Canon G11, 1/400 sec @ f/4.5, ISO 400.

Paper Jet sailing with asymmetric spinnaker

This started out as a simple fme on silk paper sampler but I thought they needed a little embellishment to pull them together. And then I got a little carried away with bullions, knots and lace edges. The background is painted kitchen paper backed with scrim to strengthen it and there is also some home made hand made paper going on in the bottom left hand corner underneath the lace which is made up of armenian edge stitch. There's a bit of cut work too in the top left hand silk paper piece together with one or two poked out holes in the grids. Whilst stitching this piece I have (loosely) kept in mind my theme of details of nature, in this case lichen and textures on on dry stone walls (with a little artistic licence on the colour front) although my son thinks it looks like the surface of a lily pond complete with frog spawn!
