The red one is my first quilling card!!!! This is a history so I keep it with me. The green one was given to my friend - New Year 2007.
Next Mon, 12 Sep 2011, is the Mid-Autumn Festival.
We lighted up the lanterns in our front yard. Nowadays, less and less people celebrate the festival and we are the only house hang the lighten lanterns up.

Arches Aquarelle cotton paper.
4g potassium bromide
4g sodium chloride
240ml water
Immersed for 3 minutes then dried.
Sensitizer
16g silver
8g citric acid
240ml water
Brushed on one coat then dried. Defiantly needs two or three coats next time.
Exposed in shade for about 7 minutes than bright sun for 1 minute. A nice dark image was observed on the paper prior to salt bath.
Salt bath
10g citric acid
30g salt
1000ml water
Image faded considerably in salt bath wash for about 2 minutes. Then washed in water for 1 hour. Image became dark again during dry down.
Felt Cake (2 Paper Boxes)
Big paper box: 8.5cm x 8.5cm x height 9cm
Small paper box: 6cm x 4.5cm x height 4cm

What a trip to have an ancient blog post photo go viral on Pinterest ten years after the fact! This beauty was included in a 2009 feature I wrote about Rag & Bone Bindery’s handmade albums and journals, AND owner Jason Thompson’s then not yet released paper craft book, Playing with Books. The woven paper basket is one of the projects and it was photographed by Karen Philippi. The hardcover book, I might add, is still available and doing well... no wonder as the other projects are equally gorgeous and besides, paper crafts are timeless! Second model of second chapter of Jun Maekawa's Genuine Origami. The model itself is not as easy as I though at first. I mean that folds are easy but it is difficult to get sharp and clear folds. The plane doesn't fly or if it does does not fly very well... as the author correctly writes. It is an exercise in box pleating and also in simmetry folding (repeat n the other side). To be honest I did not fall in love with this airplane but it really was a good exercise.

Taken during evening class in studio photography at City of Glasgow College. It is five sheets of paper lit by a stobe at 1/32 power, through a grid, postioned at the same level as the subject and camera at about 30 deg to the right of the subject. Canon 50D with E-FS 60mm macro lens at f13. Triggered by cable

The BBC was the Borrowing Book Club, a club started by me, the President was me, the rules were made and enforced by me. I was a budding dictator. The club disbanded when my club members informed me that they wanted new elections and someone else to have a turn as President. Well!! I am chagrined whenever I remember that.
