I used 3 pieces of crepe paper to colour this paper – yellow, orange and pink. The colours turned out a little bit too light but still quite nice.

For her quilt Sara provided a mariner's compass made from batiks as an inspiration. This block is "Nova" from "Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Vol. 2."
It's probably the most complicated paper-pieced block I've ever made and I can't believe that it turned out as well as it did! Paper piecing is always so magical the way it comes together perfectly at the end.
I'd love to make an entire quilt of these but that would probably take eons. One can dream, anyway.
5 colours, six modules each assembled in an ordered manner. Note the outer ring in the photo has single coloured tips.
Bought myself some new discs and a notebook from Levenger. They arrived much faster than I expected (less than a week!)

I bought this at Pier 1 the other night since it looked like a good sock yarn container. Isn't it neat? It's made out of recycled paper.
