Debbie is passionate about paper, really passionate. With her background in the paper industry she knows a thing or two about paper. We got a call from Debbie while she was over in New York for the Stationery Show, “Can you print my business cards for when I return in a couple of days for PG Live in London?” How could we resist! The paper was chosen, the type set and colours picked in no time and the next day it was on the press.
The cards are printed with coral ink and finished off with matching edge colour. There was only one paper choice for a paper passionist – the awesome 600gsm Cranes Lettra Flourescent White.
It took me a little while to figure out paper piecing again, but it was a lot of fun once I got going. Thanks for the challenge Gina!

I used the 3in Crazy Daisy pattern from sewhooked.org to make a bookmark for my mom. If/when the edges start to fray we can figure something out, but we both agreed it looked really cool without trimming, so I left it.
Another idea for my little houses... soon the diagram online... not that anybody can't fold them without a diagram but hopefully they will be useful for kids... they also might enjoy drawing the facade of each :-) Have a happy week my friends

Ever since Eric posted this model on his album I wanted to fold it but I was unable to figure it out, so when I got Eric's book Origami Tessellations this is the first model I folded.
For this model you need a strong paper since you need to fold/unfold/refold. I used the one made by Fabian Correa

You can't start early enough to prepare for christmas time! So I reworked my diagram for the Kalamistar.
I realize that I have very few books that are printed on good paper: this is a page from the beautiful edition of Homer's Odyssey, translated by Robert Fagles, from Penguin. There is a feeling you get when your fingers first touch the pages, a desire to read with a smile, but also a recognition of the humanity of such paper, the humanity that stands behind it. I fell the same about books printed with metal type. This is absent when I crack open the pages of _Interpreting the Pauline Epistles_ from Baker Academic, or _Greek Grammar_ from Zondervan. That's OK for those, but this paper seems right for such a work as the Odyssey, as for _The Hobbit_ and _The Poetry of Robert Frost_ that have the same feel.
