Using Ale Beber's technique for the KNB Star, similar to some of the works of O'Sorigami.

Folded from a square of 25 cm on the side of "Casa de Papel" paper.

Blogged, with instructions for making 5-point stars, right here.

My attempt to reverse engineer this model from Dasa, which I basically did from the reverse side photo.

My external layer is different, I guess I took the wrong reference for it.

Folded from a square (turned octagon) of Arjo Wiggins paper of 30 cm on the side.

20" (50.8 cm) square of Fabian Correa Agua papel. Wet finish with MC.

Folded from diagram in Works of Satoshi Kamiya 2.

I think Kamiya recommends way too small a paper size for this model (35 cm). While it's doable, it's going to be tiny, and frankly too small to be very impressive.

As for my depiction of it, in the original myth of the Minotaur, he devours those who are unfortunate enough to enter the labyrinth. Mine has fed recently, and he's a messy eater. This model is a pain in the ass to shape, though the final result is worth it.

This paper was done with gouache on Fabriano artist's paper to create a book with. I made a scan for everybody to use as they see fit. It would make a nice collage paper for instance. Feel free to change it in any way you want, maybe even digitally. The original scan is A4 size at 300 dpi. Enjoy!

Just an experiment I did with bird bases. I wish I could make them 3-D, but bird bases aren't exactly a good base for 3D effects.

Another thing that bugs me is how little feedback I get from my uploads. It's annoying, because I always put my effort into making my designs the best they can be yet people don't show appreciation for it. Don't give me the callous response of "I need to try harder"; I know for a fact I put all my passion into folding them and they certainly are not lackluster folds. And besides, if they really are bad designs, you could at least post what exactly you don't like about it...

I guess Chris Palmer must have done this "detail" for the center of his model, but being the creative genius he is, he used a different one as it can be seen in the original model. I think the basic pursing suits this model very well.

Folded from a square of 30 x 30 cm of Curious brand paper. I had to fold another one because the previous models was starting to tear.

Model by Thoki Yenn, folded by me on an A4 sheet of printer paper.

I saw this simple but beautiful folding in [http://www.flickr.com/photos/umacartinha] 's photo stream. There's a tutorial made by the origami artist, Raymond, at youtube.com/watch?v=ADF5-_q3Yyk

This nest was blown out of a tree in the woods. Its fall damaged it, but I brought the largest part home. It’s about 15 or 16 inches in diameter,. The empty cells are perfectly geometrical, and the outer shell is the texture of handmade paper (thus their name). It’s beautifully made.

Pieces and parts used to make the paper ornaments I made for the 2008 Holiday Ornament Swap. I used recycled old books, glittered stars and medallions I designed for K&Co Christmas Cheer.

Lino print on paper

This was designed with the flagstone in mind, but the "back" had swirling potential, so this side became the back.

Paper - I kept this wrapping paper from Christmas because I really liked the Rotterdam themed icons and text that was printed on it.

Folded from a square of 25 cm on the side of kami I had in my stash

from rectangle of recycled copy paper

Folded from a square of "new" Parra paper of 25 cm on the side.

Folded from a square of Stardream of 70 cm on the side, that's 3.675 cm2 more paper than what I used for the 3 level one, but that's not uncommon for these fractal models.

This model had been done by Chris Palmer and is shown in the cover of his book "Shadow Folds" and was folded excellently by Origamigo in tessellation arrangements.

Floral Globe by Tomoko Fuse

A small variation on the Escher Steps Box.

Folded from a square of 15 x 15 cm of origami paper.

Yesterday during a meeting of our local group I was teaching this model to Laura and she came up with this way of finishing it.

Folded from a hexagon cut off from a 20 x 20 cm square of Cappuccino paper.

I went crazy with Iimoris again ^-^ All out of the beautiful paper by Julia Schönhuber. This one is "Sommer".

There are four five different outer shape...

- Iimori Flower

- Iimori Star

- Iimori Astra

- Iimori Anthos

- Iimori Mika

...and 8 different center parts I like to use (A-F, I, M)

A Camelia Center

B Simple Flower

C Double Flower

D Diagonal Star

E Snowflake

F Fun (3D)

I Snowflake Inverse

M Mieko

There are many more variations, but these are my favorites.

Paper types and colors for every occasion, event, and printing need

Inspired by Chawne's samplers and a long-held desire to do some sort of family tree stitchwork, I decided to do a sampler of names of our grandparents and parents. Heck, maybe I'll throw the greats in there, too. Spacing is a challenge- I'll probably end up cutting each name out and re-pasting them together with some small motif added in to fill any awkward holes.

I'm using free online alphabets here and here.

An excellent model. Thank you Andrew for having created, diagrammed and shared it.

Folded from a square of curious paper of 30 cm on the side.

Update: The tutorials for these are right here.
