The model on the right is the same on the left after being folded more accordingly to the original model, thanks to the improved CP. The leaves are now more proportionate.
Prism Module Three Intersecting Squares 12 units
This was another edge unit variation I have playing around with over the last couple weeks. One thing that is nice about these models is that they force a perfect 45 degree dihedral angle for the units. :)
The name comes from the illusory right triangular prisms that seem to form on either side around the center of a unit.
Designed by me.
Folded out of kami paper.

A street artist signing his charcoal portrait, just a moment before delivering it to the little girl-model - who seems to be so genuinely proud of his final artwork.
This is my very first street photography!

The tracing paper worked well for backlighting but was not very forgiving on the squahses as you can see.

Closing this model was being difficult, since it is not shown in the diagrams, there is just one note about what you have to do, but a quick question on the origami forum gave me the answer.
This is a very interesting model with an odd shape.

I always enjoy working with paper; it's probably my favorite medium to use three dimensionally. I think it's because people don't expect paper, a traditionally 2D object, to be successful as a 3D material. Anyways, I did two pieces. This is the first. With this one, I wanted to focus on geometry and line. I wanted to focus on the effects I could achieve by folding alone. I used one continuous piece of paper for each square and used 1cm wide pleats on each square and arranged them in a different manner. My personal favorite square is the bottom left.
The first real Japanese origami paper, made only for us, origamists. It gots lovely texture and unique colors, but how good is it when folded? Read all about it in The Fold:

I made these five envelopes out of some of my marbled paper that didn't come out quite perfectly, but was still too gorgeous to throw away.
I marbled them all by hand myself, then used a template to cut out the envelopes. The ribbon adds a nice touch and makes these envelopes great for gift card or special letter enclosures.
They are also for sale - check out my profile for a link.

I just learned how to sew hexagons, and other geometrical shapes. This is just the beginning, I'll be adding more hexagons as soon as I can find some freezer paper.
The most interesting folding sequence so far.

Paper lotus flowers made for the Petals of Peace project as a way of expressing hope for children in China who have suffered as a consequence of the persecution of Falun Gong.
Petals of Peace
Can we find the heart for every child,
the heart to show we care?
When the world reaches out to every heart,
we will find compassion there.
Like a lotus flower unfolding,
colored above waters of grey.
Clouded skies to new horizons hold
the promise of peace someday.
For truth and for our future,
can we find the heart to lend a hand?
Together we can end injustice,
awaken the world to understand.
Let us bring each precious petal to light
for our children everywhere.
When the world reaches out to every heart,
we will find compassion there.
