Do you like origami? Do you like photographs? I knew it.

Just an experiment. I love how it turned out! How about you guys? What do you think?

An abandoned factory at 500 Seneca St., Buffalo NY. Constructed as a series of buildings between 1901 and 1927, the brick and concrete facility was originally used as the headquarters and factory of F.N. Burt Co., a paper box maker. It was later used as a manufacturing plant for the hat maker New Era Cap from 1986 until 2004. It’s been vacant since.

Paper flowers are a beautiful creation

May float may sink may dance with the wind

But always radiate light

The light will draw you forward

A modular origami model designed by Tomoko Fuse. This is from her book Unit Origami Fantasy.

A paper ship I designed at my day job C3 based on a 2D illustration by Steve Duffendack. Here's what it looked like inside the bottle. Photos by Zach Trover.

I was out having lunch with my wife on this day and had my camera with me. I happened into the bathroom of the restaurant and this composition just called out to be captured.

I guess Chris Palmer must have done this "detail" for the center of his model, but being the creative genius he is, he used a different one as it can be seen in the original model. I think the basic pursing suits this model very well.

Folded from a square of 30 x 30 cm of Curious brand paper. I had to fold another one because the previous models was starting to tear.

A competition I am running on my facebook page:

PAPER BUILD COMPETITION!!!!

Its my birthday so to mark the occasion I am launching a new competition :)

Post a picture of your favourite building on www.facebook.com/Popupology (side and front viewpoints required) labelled "paper build" and at the end of every two weeks I will select one to be made into an OA building. If your picture is chosen I will post a finished card to you as a prize!!!

Model by Thoki Yenn, folded by me on an A4 sheet of printer paper.

I saw this simple but beautiful folding in [http://www.flickr.com/photos/umacartinha] 's photo stream. There's a tutorial made by the origami artist, Raymond, at youtube.com/watch?v=ADF5-_q3Yyk

Paper types and colors for every occasion, event, and printing need

Soms is het zo simpel. Je haalt een doos met papier uit de kast ziet nog wat andere rommeltjes liggen in een bakje. En is weer één.

Folded from a square of 25 cm on the side of kami I had in my stash

Folded from a square of Stardream of 70 cm on the side, that's 3.675 cm2 more paper than what I used for the 3 level one, but that's not uncommon for these fractal models.

This model had been done by Chris Palmer and is shown in the cover of his book "Shadow Folds" and was folded excellently by Origamigo in tessellation arrangements.

I think it looks similar to Evi's model here .

20" (50.8 cm) square of Fabian Correa Agua papel. Wet finish with MC.

Folded from diagram in Works of Satoshi Kamiya 2.

I think Kamiya recommends way too small a paper size for this model (35 cm). While it's doable, it's going to be tiny, and frankly too small to be very impressive.

As for my depiction of it, in the original myth of the Minotaur, he devours those who are unfortunate enough to enter the labyrinth. Mine has fed recently, and he's a messy eater. This model is a pain in the ass to shape, though the final result is worth it.

Trying to take a photo of something so complex as a wasp nest can often lead to the whole "losing the forest to see the trees" situation. You get so wrapped up in shooting a detail shot that the rest of the image fails to compose.

I don't think I crossed that line too much here, but I do find it odd that I somehow got such a black background when shooting in sunlight.

Folded from a square of "new" Parra paper of 25 cm on the side.

Yesterday during a meeting of our local group I was teaching this model to Laura and she came up with this way of finishing it.

A model I've wanted to fold since I first saw it, but couldn't figure it out on my own. Folded over the CP printed on a square of 20 x 20 cm of Artpaper.

Thank you John for having uploaded the CP.

When I folded the basic version one year ago, the photo made it into Explore!, let's see how well this one does.

Seen at Butterfly World. This one landed on top of a red, flowering plant (poinsettia?) and I loved the contrast of monochrome with full-color.

Paper kite (or Rice paper) butterflies are native to Southeast Asia. Some have been seen in northern Australia.

Except for cropping in the photo a bit to 12 x 9 inches (350 ppi), this is an unedited photograph.

Recently, I've got an idea of minimalistic decoration light. Small LED diffused light source can be placed inside the pipe, made of paper or mylar, with some drawing or pattern on its sides. Here is the first prototype of diffuser with black leafless tree.

This is a selected frame from the first portraiture sitting of 2017 in my New York studio. It was shot on an 8x10 paper negative (Ilford rated 3ASA) with a Deardorff camera fitted with a Jena 50cm Tessar lens with its large and heavy front element unscrewed by several turns, to obtain the soft focus-like glowing highlight. The lighting is "open flash" 1 second -circa- esposure time, with two Speedotron Strobe heads at 1200 Watts per second. Beautiful and talented Ella is the subject of this portrait.

Inspired by Chawne's samplers and a long-held desire to do some sort of family tree stitchwork, I decided to do a sampler of names of our grandparents and parents. Heck, maybe I'll throw the greats in there, too. Spacing is a challenge- I'll probably end up cutting each name out and re-pasting them together with some small motif added in to fill any awkward holes.

I'm using free online alphabets here and here.

I decided to make a short story from photos about the day in the life of a paper bag head.
